I remember reading once that the "Sound of Free" single was issued as a "trial balloon" to see if Dennis was commercially viable as a solo act or not. It was released just in Europe because the Beach Boys were still far more popular there than in the States in 1970. Also released in New Zealand, of all places ! Released in the UK, France, Netherlands, Ireland, and New Zealand.

At the risk of saying something everyone already knows, wanted to throw in a PSA that Redbubble merch is bootleg and the proceeds won't be supporting the band or any future projects. If any official FF merch becomes available let's make sure we check that out as well.

If any official FF merch becomes available let's make sure we check that out as well. I didn’t realize that. That’s too bad. Whenever I go to a concert I always buy authorized merchandise inside the facility, rather than bootleg shirts sold in the outside parking lot or sidewalk.

Wow, thanks! I just ordered one. They make each one on demand, so you get many choices of size, color, and type. Here's mine. View AttachmentThey are selling pretty much this exact blue-ish shirt (albeit slightly tie-dyed & antiqued) at the merchandise tables at the concerts for $35.00. Unfortunately, still not on the official site.

To clarify, Redbubble provide technology and methods for "Artists" to create their own shops and sell art on T-shirts they've designed. Obviously this model may be subject to misuse by opportunists and Redbubble have published procedures to allow copyright holders or concerned individuals to flag infringements - help.redbubble.com/hc/en-us/articles/201579195I think we can speculate the FF shirt may have stepped over the line given no clear authorisation is evident; I would encourage anyone holding the copyright or with concerns to reach out via the above link. Now, let's get back to updates about Feel Flows - I hope no-one's illegally downloaded it!

It's finally here! I am so happy! I'll write an actual review tomorrow on the other thread.

Got my delivery from HMV on Friday but didn't pick it up until yesterday. Anyone else have problems with quality? The ink has transferred across pages in many places, poor stapling, some ripping.

Although it would be weird to own two similar shirts.

There are “grunge” printing effects on some of the pages. That’s intentional on the designer’s part, but it does look like ink smudges.

Heard of several people whose boxes came all beat up, came with discs that are unplayable and scratched, warped or off-center vinyl, torn booklets, etc

My accompanying booklet is not perfect. It was mishandled at the factory before the entire package was shrunk-wrapped. The edges of some of the pages in the middle of the book were pushed in/bent and I had to go back and fix each of the 6 or 7 pages. It's still not the way it should be. I'm not happy about that at all. Seems like a rush job with not much, if any, quality control.

The 5CD box set from my Amazon UK pre-order in early June arrived this morning. There’s a chilly, misty breeze blowing in off the sea where I live, which isn’t quite how I imagined today would be. There were visions of a sun, unrelenting, never ending and possibly heartbreak searing, enabling me to fling open the windows and share it with the local community, and then we’d have world peace. So I did it anyway and it lasted ten glorious minutes until my immediate next door neighbour shouted at me to turn the bloody volume down. Philistine; I don’t complain when he plays his Elvis stuff. Can’t win ‘em all I guess.

Play it in the car - a moving target it hard to hit!🤣

Brilliant! One teensy flaw in that plan; I tend to listen to this stuff with eyes wide shut. Still, I'll give it a go this afternoon and let you know how I get on

Play it in the car - a moving target it hard to hit! That's been my policy for years now - all serious listening is done in the car, preferably driving around the Somerset countryside. Sometimes the windscreen wipers are perfectly in time with music, and those are the times I remember most fondly.

That tempo hit me like a Mack truck when I heard it this time around, especially live.

I'm going to put up something else I found a couple of days ago: beachboyslegacy.com/item/live-in-1970.htmlThis link will take you to Amazon UK -the only place it is for sale. Very expensive, too. Mp3 only, dated 9 January 2021. What is it? Listed as an official release from Iconic Artists Group EU/UK. A whole box-set of different live shows (1970?) - with 30 second samples that worked. I listened to all. Needs some cleaning up. Sounds like bootleg quality.

I noticed that a number of songs have had songwriting credits changed, such as Got To Know The Woman & Slip On Through to add Jakobson. How was it determined that he should be listed as a co-writer? Ask Boyd tomorrow night at 10 PM Eastern. View AttachmentNever seen that. You know, some of the reviews of the book-set mention how out of touch the group was with their clothing choices. But, in the late 60s scarves were popular with lots of people. I had one of the type of sweaters they are wearing on the Today! cover, as well. Mine was orange. I followed Beach Boys' fashion, at least in the 60s.

Raining like crazy here this afternoon. Rains all the time in Summer, but maybe this is due to Ida reaching my area in upstate New York. We are in the path. I didn't think it would get here this quick. I'm moving on with disc #3 and #4 anyway. It's like Orange Crate Art, I love to play that when it's teaming outside. Thunder & lightning adds that special effect!

So...did I hear right that those with the 2-CD version have a mix of "Susie Cincinnati" that, due to logistics, is different from the equivalent on the 5-CD set?
