Finally able to pick my copy up from Fopp. They said the 2cd version had sold out straight away and that five people had come in asking for the 5cd set but mine was the only one in! Glad I reserved it! Can’t wait to dive in later 😊

Riot In Cell Block #9 1970 is from the second set at the Big Sur Folk Festival, October 3 1970.
Long Promised Road is from Carnegie Hall on November 23, 1972. Haven't A & B'ed it but pretty sure.
I'd also like to know dates and event sites for the other tracks especially in '71 & '73.
Can't help you on 71 and 73 but I am going to make a pretty good bet that Disney Girls from 1982 was recorded at Blossom Music Center near Cleveland. I know this because I was there. Dennis and Brian were absent for this show. When they started to play Disney Girls the recording equipment fed back into the speakers causing Mike to stop the song and inform us that indeed the show was being recorded live. Once the technical problem was fixed they started Disney Girls from scratch. The only other cut from that show that has seen light of day to my knowledge is Runaway which showed up on a special 25th anniversary collection in 1986. Thanks to all that replied. I thought Riot was from Big Sur and Long Promised Road was from Carnegie, but I didn't want to assume. I'll try a/b-ing everything later. I also believe the 82 show is probably the same one that "God Only Knows" and "Runaway" come from, but I'm not sure. - I'm guessing the 71 show is 6/27/71 Fillmore, but I haven't a/b'd those either. Did they play the closing on 7/2 (or whenever that was) because those shows were recorded, so maybe from there. - The biggest mystery is definitely the 1988 show. I have no clue what that one is.

On Amazon here in the US the Five CD collection is number 8 and number 5 in different related categories so it's certainly a top 10. I haven't checked on the two-disc collection but I think this is the most extraordinary chart position as it were for the Beach Boys. Anybody seen anything on the Billboard charts?

FF won’t appear on billboard until September 7 at the earliest. The way they’re tracking weeks work, they will start on Friday, August 27, and then end on Thursday, September 2, and then be revealed on Tuesday, September 7

Like others here, I'd like to know what shows all the live tracks are from.
Listening to Disc 3 right now and falling in love with this band all over again. This musical era is one my favorites.

Did yours come, like mine, with orange ink smeared on the blue pages, and blue ink smeared on the orange pages?

Yeah, mine's like that too. The back of the booklet in the vinyl set is like that. For a moment there I thought I’d accidentally dropped it into an oil spill or something ;p

The orange smears are on purpose. They are even on the logos being used for this package online. There are silver ones on the blue pages.

Yes, that’s a “grunge” effect printed on the pages.

They really should have made a Feel Flows T-shirt with the LP cover on it. I went looking to buy one, but it's not on their store.

I believe that they sell a Feel Flows album cover shirt at the shows, but not online.

Is much known about Poops/Hubba Hubba and why it wasn't issued at the time? And why Sound Of Free was a small scale Europe only release? I remember reading once that the "Sound of Free" single was issued as a "trial balloon" to see if Dennis was commercially viable as a solo act or not. It was released just in Europe because the Beach Boys were still far more popular there than in the States in 1970. From everything I've picked up through the years, Poops/Hubba Hubba was never finished because Dennis had to make the choice between a solo career and being a Beach Boy and obviously chose the latter. Whether this decision was forced on him or that he just didn't have time for both I couldn't tell you.

I noticed that a number of songs have had songwriting credits changed, such as Got To Know The Woman & Slip On Through to add Jakobson. How was it determined that he should be listed as a co-writer?

From what I’ve heard and read about, the BBs including Make it Good and Cuddle Up on Carl and the Passions was the moment when Poops looked dead. Daryl Dragon’s departure from the touring group was just the nail in the coffin. Daryl was really the guy holding The project together, and when he left, Dennis was just too all over the place to go any further at that time.

Wow, thanks! I just ordered one. They make each one on demand, so you get many choices of size, color, and type. Here's mine.
