Little Pad is a personal favourite, despite the annoying intro, and H & V is H & V, so it had to be the other two.

Heroes is among the very best of their very, very best; Veggies is, with the exception of the extended Smiley version, the definitive Veggies. All other opinions are fine, but can’t be helped.

Vegetables & Fall Breaks and Back To Winter. Luckily tomorrow morning, Winter breaks and back to Spring.

And your other one? Little Pad. I must say that SS is one of the easier survivors for me.

A heavy hitter it undoubtedly is, but H&V for me doesn't quite fit the ethos of the album. The trippy lyrics and sheer inventiveness of the vocals on Vegetables and Little Pad do it for me every time. The final 30 seconds of Vegetables as showcased on Sunshine Tomorrow 2 are mesmerising, as are the voices mimicking instruments in Little Pad on the same set, which is why I'd like to keep these going for a while longer.

Vegetables & Fall Breaks and Back To Winter. Luckily tomorrow morning, Winter breaks and back to Spring. Yes, I think I'm ready to see a flower pop up from the ground, a tree bud, anything that looks like Spring. Once the snowing stops, and all that's left is warm days/cold nights, I'm ready to take the electric blanket off the bed. Even with the warm days, I still have some mounds of snow (turned to ice) in the yard today. Getting those to melt is step one.

We often agree, but I can't bring myself to vote off "Heroes and Villains" just yet. I am hoping "Little Pad" makes it to the final... Sure I will be disappointed.

That’s aspirational, but, you never know what Survivor may dish up! Hmmm....I think we all know what it's likely to dish up; probably two of the greatest songs the band ever gave us. GV and H&V had both been successful singles in their own right and in any other context they would be considered untouchable.
But if that happens then it goes against the whole spirit of Smiley Smile, which I'm told, as quite obviously I wouldn't have any first hand knowledge, is a stoner's delight. The bulk of the album (excluding Gettin' Hungry, because I'm still not sure what the hell that's doing on there) for me flows wonderfully and both GV and H&V stick out like the proverbials.
And Will, chums never agree on everything, otherwise they'd end up having nowt to talk about, but I'm with you entirely on Little Pad - it's a veritable diamond of a song, but I fear we'll both be disappointed.

As the album is a stoner’s delight, perhaps Gettin’ Hungry is really about the munchies.

Welcome back to a desperate game for desperate times in a desperate world, about a desperate band loved by desperate fans.
I have merged the tribe as we continue to vote off 2 least favourites. I must say, this is pretty difficult, Smiley is a real gem; who keeps coming up with this torture?
Get to it, those who are fit & able.

Oh, btw - there is a hidden immunity idol somewhere on the board. If you are the first person to find it and PM me the location, you will be allowed to either bring back any so far voted-off song for the grand final OR protect any song currently still in play.
Have Fun Fun Fun looking for it!

Good Vibrations and Heroes & Villains were two out of the four cornerstones of SMiLE and the two cornerstones of Smiley Smile. I'm not about to vote them off.

I agree with you re Smile, and the rerecorded/reassembled Heroes of Smiley, I tend to agree. But, GV single version on Smiley, I’m not that convinced it’s a cornerstone - I think the humby-dumb version from Smile Sessions Smile woulda been a better fit (and I’m glad they ditched that stuff from the single, because the single maintains a consistent sense of dynamics and urgency despite the mellow Denny’s organ section).
