We Gotta Groove - with lyrics!! Great to hear these tracks in such good quality. And that alternate version of It's Like Heaven is lovely. (Not sure why whoever uploaded them has written 'TRANS RIGHTS!' in the video description though. Somewhat cringe-inducing and utterly irrelevant to the Beach Boys. Hey ho...) they wrote that in the description because the original source of all of these newly leaked tracks handed them out with… lets just say… the wrong titles. They used very offensive (dated and transphobic) titles for the songs instead of the actual song titles.

Wow...and I just about blew my top when I was at a record show and saw that someone was selling a VHS of the 1977 Largo concert and listed titles such as "Water," "Gotta Go Do It," and "Soldier Boy."

Making offensive comments about a minority group is never a good thing. Whenever I hear mention of 'trans rights' though, I immediately think of a UK-based friend of mine. They're a (very funny and level-headed) comedian on the UK stand-up circuit, and they were born male but now identify as female, and they say re trans rights: "I have exactly the same basic human rights as everyone else in the Western world. There aren't any human rights that everyone else has that I'm being denied." They said this on stage once at an LGBT comedy event and were booed and jeered by half the audience. It seems trans people are only supported if they say the right things and repeat the mantras. But anyway, that's a discussion for another time and forum... Sorry to get political.

You would think Howie, being in touch with 'the kids' n all, would be over this like a rash to have it removed...

Agreed. But... We Gotta Groove I actually prefer without Mike's lead vocal.

Is that "Clangin'" recording the one that had the "mamayamma glory hallelujah" line that resurfaced on TLOS?

It sounds like it theoretically could be, and it also sounds like one of the many, many songs in a long line of "Shortnin' Bread" spinoffs.
But I thought that the Beach Boys recorded a different song with a similar title -- "Clang" -- that had that line, no?

"Clangin'" and "Clang" are different songs.

Clang and Clangin' are one in the same. That piano riff could be either Clangin' or Shortenin' Bread depending on Brian's mood, while Ding Dang and its variations are a family running parallel. The Beach Boys briefly ran through the "mow mama yama" chant over Clangin' during the session for I'm Bugged at My Ol' Man on the It's OK special, and this is the studio version of that from the Love You sessions, albeit unfinished and missing those vocals.

It appears someone must’ve just dumped the whole thing somewhere, because there is several more that have appeared.
I don’t condone the sharing of stuff that was told not to be shared, but I guess it’s out there now so get it while you can.

As amazing as its been to read about "The Klay Tapes" over the years, and to hear some bits and pieces in one way or another, knowing about this kind of "let's the wind out of your sail" a bit for a hardcore fan. Can you imagine if all of these recordings had either leaked or been released officially without a single hint of their existence beforehand? An version of "This Whole World" with an entirely different ending?!? An actual recording of the alternate lyrics to Till I Die, after having been told for years that there was no chance it existed?!?!??!?!? A recording of a Love You era song that Brian sang...with Al singing instead?!?!? It would have been pandemonium!

Please, please, please can it just sound like this on the CATP/Holland box. No '2022 mix'. No added compression. No added echo. No added treble or reverb. Just this, as it was recorded. It doesn't need 'improving'.

Well, I guess if they hadn't monumentally screwed up Seasons in the Sun on Feel Flows then people wouldn't feel the need to still be sharing bootlegged versions of it. (And, yep, I know it was Al Jardine's terrible idea to remove all the backing vocals from the officially released version.)

Hey, Al was just following the lead of others to make the music HIP and HAPPENING. And not to be snarky (ok, maybe a little snarky) Howie doesn't look all that hip and happening to me. Looks do not count for anything, I truly know this. BUT, if you are trying to pass yourself off has MR. COOL, at least give it some effort.
Also, FEEL FLOWS sold a lot, MIC sold well, as did SUNSHINE TOMORROW and GV Box back in 1993. All along the way, Capitol and the people representing them always say afterward GEE, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED THESE WOULD SELL. How many freaking times to you have to put your Swiss Army Knife into the electric socket and NO LONGER be surprised that you get a shock? I mean, come on.
Back in 1980, Capitol told their sales group DO NOT PROMOTE the Beatles RARITIES LP. It sold like crazy with no ads. They tried to slow it down. WTF people?

Yeah these Proposed Bonus Tracks are available on the good old internet somewhere. These tracks are evidence that the mixing on Feel Flows is seriously inconsistent, as Awake is mixed perfectly on this, as is 'Ol Movie etc.
EDIT: clarified that Feel Flows' Awake is poorly mixed, NOT the one on this bootleg that's circulating.

It is so shrill. Yet on the bootlegs, Brian sounds lovely. I've still yet to hear the bootlegged version of Old Movie. I've only heard the version on Feel Flows that is ruined by all the compression smothered all over the vocals.

Haven't heard Old Movie, but the "klay tapes" version of Hawaiian Dream was leaked on YouTube for literally a day or two, right before FF came out. The shaker sound was LOUD. I actually thought it was a tracker of some kind. I second your thoughts about wishing I had an actual link. But that's against the rules and would be very wrong indeed. So please guys, don't do it.

Back in 1980, Capitol told their sales group DO NOT PROMOTE the Beatles RARITIES LP. It sold like crazy with no ads. They tried to slow it down. WTF people? Yes, why would a company try to slow down sales? (Beatles Rarities) You have to ask yourself if they are picking winners, almost betting against or sabotaging their own business and/or shareholders? Never mind the artists. What is the motive? Goes to show you, when you question sales, of stuff your gut tells you is great, and flops on the charts. Your instincts, even as a kid, tell you something is very wrong. That flows downward to the radio stations who won’t air the (rarity) tracks. But, I’m surprised that they sabotaged The Beatles as they certainly sabotaged The Boys. Picking winners, arranging destructive and bewildering press narratives, non-promotion of work they had a duty to promote. This is where the real story is. It looks like the Fred Vail story. Radio station DJs love the work, and yet, can’t/won’t play the tracks?
