Was lurking Smiley Smile and apparently people are getting copyright claim on Youtube for a bunch of Sunflower/Surf's Up era outtakes, including "My Solution [Track and Backing Vocals] ", "Seasons In The Sun", "H.E.L.P. Is On The Way (2019 Mix)" among others... linkI feel like things are looking up now Thanks, wata! This is good news coming. Thanks to Elora and all the uploaders looking to help get things moving. It is not too late to get this out before Christmas. If they don't let me know soon... I'm going to drop my available cash on the Neil Young deluxe box, and the Elton John Jewel thing. Paying attention to that, Bri?

Is it possible that this is going to be another situation like the Beatles 1969 recordings on Spotify? I really hope not... I hope not too! https://www.reddit.com/r/beatles/comments/iqld9d/the_saga_of_1969_recordings_a_beatles_spotify/ Also reminds me of the proposed tracks for the 3-CD "Brother Years" set (found in a record shop in L.A. back in 2014).

Update: when i checked my copyright claim for Susie Cinicinatti, it was credited to "CAPITOL CATALOG MKT (C92)". Doing a cursory Google search shows they only have credits for digital Beach Boys releases. so.... we're getting a digital release!!!!!

I'm sure I saw somebody post a screencap of "Seasons_In_The_Sun"

"Capitol Catalog Mkt (C92)" is the credited owner of, for example, the digital versions of Sunshine Tomorrow, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra album, and the Party! Uncovered and Unplugged album, even while "Capitol" is credited manufacturer of the CD versions. It seems to be a part of UMG that deals with digital releases, but that includes digital releases of stuff that's also released physically.

I think everyone just assumed that any CD box set would also be released digitally. Certainly I did.

So, I may be misreading the facts and messages from the different players, but:
Mike withholds Feel Flows ———> Croz attacks Mike on social media ———> Mike unleashes Feel Flows
Thank you David Crosby!

Latest catches: Long Promised Road (Track & Background Vocal Mix) Slip On Through (Alternate 1969 Mix With Session Intro) Discussion about the implications of an original mix outtake inclusion, etc, etc Maybe the algorithm's just being strangely selective with material that'd usually be considered secondary to the main thrust of a boxset... Or, is this looking to anyone else like a Sunshine-Tomorrow-2-in-reverse equivalent prelude to some kind of bigger release? The simplest explanation that I can think of is that it's not being "strangely selective" as much as only catching stuff that's been uploaded, and thus only catching stuff that already circulates or resembles material that already circulates. If there's some revelatory track or tracks on the box set that's not even been rumoured to exist, then nobody will be uploading anything like it to YouTube and so it won't get caught. But also, all these lists sound to me like exactly the kind of thing I would expect from the box. Remember, the closest thing we've had to this so far is Sunshine Tomorrow -- and if we were looking at just the titles from that, what would we see? "Country Air (2017 Mix)" "A Thing or Two (Track and Backing Vocals)" "Little Pad (backing track)" Just the same kind of things we're seeing here.

Thrown as much as i could at the flagging system... no more returns. Aside from the possibility of some unheard material (which is always a welcome inclusion!) I think the list Salty has is what we're getting sometime soon. Quite a step up from last year, and i'm excited to hear it all when it comes out regardless of that box set!

Only uploaded a week ago by Ibraam.
His/her explanation includes “expect this to be included on the Feel Flows set”.

With the set being 5 discs, could it be: Disc 1: Sunflower plus bonus tracks Disc 2: Sunflower alternate versions (Tracks and backing vocals, acapella) Disc 3: Surf's Up plus bonus tracks
Disc 4: Surf's Up alternate versions (Tracks and backing vocals, acapella)
Disc 5: Live tracks/show

Seems a reasonable assumption, aside from a wholly live 5th disc.

I'm hoping that it's just the copyright algorithm being weird, but the presence of no new acapella mixes (bar I think Cottonfields, I can't recall whether that's been released or not) and absolutely no straight up backing tracks worries me a little.
I'm sure the people at the wheel have their reasons for the Track and Backing Vocals mixes, but I personally prefer them split.

It’s nice to speculate…

I’m wondering if the live tracks are from 1970 if they need to be released in advance to cover the year end deadline (assuming of course that the set will be out early next year).
