Sorry, sf, I'm not familiar with either of these songs. I need to learn your skills for avoiding such popular music. It would really come in handy in 2019. Love them both, but I think I've just heard Don't Stop Believin' one too many times, especially in my bar going days when jukebox patrons thought it was the only song the great Journey has ever released. So.....my vote goes to............................................................... The great, late, Tom Petty. (See? The Waiting is the hardest part).

My skills come from listening to the classical radio station my wife has on much of the time. And from being judicious as to what I listen to on YouTube when I'm at the computer.

I'm not picking on you, and I sincerely apologize if it comes off that way, but you must avoid a lot of pop culture and gathering places to, because Don't Stop Believin is pretty hard to not be familiar with even if its not your cup of tea. I'm very picky with my music, and never listen to Top 40 radio, but sad to say, I know a lot of songs by Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, and (insert modern plop artist here), just from going to the grocery store, restaurants, bars, weddings, or sporting events (they actually play Taylor Swift at NFL games, I kid you not).

Who? Ed who? Yeah, stay strong, avoid Top 40 radio. I barely know who Taylor Swift is. Couldn't name one of her songs. I bought Journey's first album thinking it might be good. I don't own it anymore. I do remember Journey post first album from MTV. That's it. I must not have been paying attention if they played them in public places. I never knew anybody who bought their records. I can shut it out I guess. It can be done, even with my Cd/vinyl collection. I own SIP. I play it sometimes. I have only heard "Forever" less than 5 times. I did watch that Tv show. Once. A lifetime of enough. Not sure why, but I saw him a few times with the Beach Boys - they just let him play drums. He never sang "Forever" or any song at those shows.
Same with the youngsters on NPP. I checked all of them out. Other than She and Him I didn't get too far. The tracks on the album have grown on me, but I have no desire to listen to anything else they've done.

Lennon, hopefully to avenge the loss to.....Hall and Oates? That match up was ridiculous. How many people still listen to Hall & Oates? I have some of their records, but except for the first three don't play them. Lennon is sure to win this one, tho.

It's not bad, but overall, pretty blah.
