As far as the songwriting credits for Dennis’ songs are concerned, yes, I’ve noticed that too in recent years. For this release I consulted directly with the publishing administrators for Dennis Wilson Music and the Dennis Wilson Estate. They provided and authorized the final credits. Thank you both for this set and all your work! Very excited about a 72-73 set! 1) Since little was released 1974-75, might we see a "Brian's Back" set before 1976? 2) Would surviving members ever consider putting vocals on an unfinished track (like "Why" for instance)? Thanks, Les Prebilsky

Mark, how do you feel seeing the picture of the box set advertised on the marquee in Times Square? Amazed to see that as well as the billboard here in Los Angeles. Frankly the promotion and reviews for the project have been beyond my expectations Yes the Times Square promo was mind-blowing. The sales so far seem to make it appropriate for such a high-profile publicity campaign!

This is a question for both Mark and Alan. Could we ever see a 65' Archival release even through a distributor like Omnivore. I also know that there are some missing tapes from the time period, which could cause a release like this to be hard such as a Tape for Do You Wanna Dance?

Alan and Mark don't know if you saw my question,
I was wondering why there wasn't a backing track only of SURF'S UP?

Mr Karma Frog, I think so, but it will, by necessity, have to be the very last thing I do while officially working with the group. Thank you for the question. Hey, who is this "Karma Frog" fellow, anyway? Is he any relation to Zeppo Wilson?

Hi! My name is Jeff Winner. 2 things: First, Happy to know Adam Marsland is around here tonight — you guys should interview him next. Secondly, when it's time for Alan Boyd to make the LOVE YOU box set, please promise us to include an edit of "Ding Dang" that's at least 20 minutes in duration. Happy to, but get the little kids out of the room first!!!!

Yes I would like to know about spring as well since we’re about to hit the 50th anniversary of that album… Any plans?

Alan and Mark don't know if you saw my question, I was wondering why there wasn't a backing track only of SURF'S UP? Having been extensively covered on the Smile box and with a new BW lead vcl mix , and an a cappella plus the redone pt 1 track on the set, a track mix wasn't really considered.....

Hi Emdeeh!
Carl really seemed to really get into the process of layering a track and methodically seeing it through to completion. And making it right. As you recall, he was someone who “didn’t like to be rushed.” Sitting at a mixing console for a long time and putting some serious thought into how to incorporate all of the elements from a multitrack master into a finished two track master does not seem to have been a real chore for him. Brian, on the other hand, seemed to thrive best under the pressure of getting all of the parts down in a more or less “live” situation back when they were working with a limited number of tracks.

I do think there’s hope that OUR TEAM might someday see an official release. We do have the original 2”video master in the vaults (though we haven’t preserved it yet), and the original shoot tapes still exist as well. Is anyone still there? Hello? Nothing new is being posted. Does seem rather quiet here tonight.....

The great job he did mastering the TEN YEARS OF HARMONY set. That was a great release back in 1981.

Alan, thank you so much for the reply on Carl and Brian's production styles. How about Dennis' production style? How did he approach recording?

Hi Alan, Hal here! I want to congratulate you and say thanks for all your hard work and dedication. I remember the old days in Oakland with Les and it seems like a long time ago. I know he's looking down and loving this, wish he were here to see and hear it. It's such a miracle that the breathtaking Poops/Hubba Hubba material finally was able to escape from its vault exile, it's truly glorious. So exciting to think about a Sail on Sailor(s?) set, and the potential future Carnegie release. Any chance of a POB Rehearsals project, as Steven Guercio was going to do before it morphed into the terrific POB Legacy Edition?

Is anyone still there? Hello? Nothing new is being posted. Does seem rather quiet here tonight..... Mark, Alan talked a bit about working on the next release that would include the CArl And The PAssions album, and possibly the Carnegie Hall shows. When do you see that being released? 2023?

Hi Alan and Mark,
Thanks for doing this for all the fans out there, we really appreciate it!
My question is, I was really interested in the a capella versions of some of the songs in the box set, I think they're pretty powerful. I was wondering how many versions of the songs were sung this way during this time and how you chose these ones if there was a list ?
Thanks again!

Alan and Mark
This is not related to FEEL FLOWS but I recently read that the mono master for ALL SUMMER LONG (the song-on the mono LP master and the safety) was no longer usable. This comes from a source who shall remain nameless. It this true tho?

Hi first of all thanks a looot for your hard work!! Baby baby is fun - a real rocker - kinda "Beatles-ish". A pity they didn't do a "proper" version. Are there perhaps other tracks from the same session/s? I'm amazed we're getting a full song, not just a snippet...

Does seem rather quiet here tonight..... Did Mike write a song called Earthquake during the sessions? If so, why was it not on the set? Thanks!! I can answer this one! There was a song called "Earthquake Time" written around 1968 by Carl and Mike for the 20/20 album, but was never recorded. Apparently the song was once again considered for the group's abandoned Caribou album 1974, but again went unrecorded.
