But, I'd like to see LHRW stay in a bit longer (it was listening to Stack O'Tracks many years ago that made me appreciate it so much more) so it's a vote for ASL from me. |

Wow, we've been working hard and looking deep into our mortal souls and are finally down to 9 contenders (not forgetting some lucky fluffer has yet to play their immunity idol powers at some stage before the final 3 are announced).
Great work, but no time to rest on our Laurel Canyons, time to dig really deep and get your votes in to decide the next to go.
If treat the list as a collection of sweets or lollies that I would want to eat starting with the delicious and progressing to the otherworldly, I'd have to go Let Him Run Wild next. Amazing instrumentation and arrangement, those honking saxes, but a little weird in the vocal melody department - I would tend to agree with Brian's comments that he sounded a little shrill, or suggest forced. He certainly doesn't "own" this as well as his seemingly effortless efforts on some earlier vintage years tracks, like Blue Christmas of a couple years earlier.

There's one song I want off, and it's not going to win me any favors among fans, but I'll hold that card til the next round, because it will still be there and rightfully so long before I start pulling on it's strings. However, I do feel it's time for 'Let Him Run Wild' to go to the Beach Boys song pool in the sky. It's done well to last this long, there are others that are gone I'd put above it. Brian's vocal is a little 'whimpish', but it's also a part of the charm, but it's time...

Wow, I can't believe Surfin' USA has been wiped out of the comp - I would have expected top 5 for that one.
Great work, everyone!!!, this is what I like about the Survivor format.

It's getting down to the wire here on BB Survivor - Lifestyles, a forum party game that encourages you to think deeply about what is your favourite BB song and indulge in whatever skullduggery or villainy you feel will ensure your song remains in the game.
We have a great 8 tracks remaining, plucked from the vintage Capitol years pre Pet Sounds, so get voting peeps. BUT remember, some lucky dawg holds the power of the immunity idol and will be able to either remove or return a track of their choice before we get to the final 3!
I'll keep wailing on Let Him Run Wild, a delicious track with some amazing arranging, but there are others I'd listen to ahead of it!

Ooooh, losing 'Surfin USA', that really hurts. I feel betrayed. All of a sudden I feel like I'm living on an island and in 'Silence Of The (Beach Boy) Lambs'.... That's Ok.... That's Ok.... I've got my own lamb to slay and throw under the bus shortly. Sticking with 'LHRR' again today.
