I love Don't Back Down, but at this point it has to go. All of the others are classics in my opinion.

How about I give you a direct link, I suppose - but that’s no fun! Have one last crack, don’t spend longer than 15 mins - and if still nothing then I’ll post the image! But the powers will be reduced. Moo haa haaaaaa cackle! It’s a “pacific islander” style ceremonial piece - something you’d bring back from a holiday as a tasteful souvenir - and something you’d see on Survivor TV show; it’s visible on the main board - if you appreciate pop art from the mid 60s to early 70s and like to view things via a very melodic monocle, you can’t miss it! No, don't reveal it now. If it's so obvious, someone should get it soon. Wait until someone gets it, and then post the image. I don't want to spoil the party... Edit: If I find it, can I bring back a poster instead?

Well, well, well - some clever little poster has found the idol!
They'll be contacting me to let me know in what irresponsible way they want to use their new found power!!!
Stay tuned!

In the meantime the current poll is locked an Don't Back has had to back down, way down, and leave BB Survivor - but hey, it really showed us it had guts to get this far!
Could be back soon tho, depending on the mysterious ways of our new idol holding power-broker!
Return soon, for the lei of the island!!!

Welcome back, ye soft pipers! Goss around the traps is the lucky soul who found the idol is sitting on their decision for now but will unleash the full extent of their awarded power boon some time in days to come (but before the final 3 of course).
I can confirm this is true, so steel yourselves for an upset!
In the meantime, lets get back to the hardworking of deciding which track gets whacked next, 13 nifty numbers remain, but one (or perhaps 2!) must leave our listing within the next 12-24 hours, so start clickin'!
I'm gunning for Hawaii, enough said!

For the one of you who may be interested where the immunity idol was, check out the "ad" for Malc's 'Back Through The Opera Glass' series that is at the bottom right of the main page (not the one that fades in and out at the top), and you will see the idol is sitting on top of the Holland album cover!

I'll add my apologies to the car geeks out there, but cars are not my 'mojo', and all the word play lingo about them will not make me love these 4 wheeled vehicles anymore than what they are. 'fued injected stingrays', 'slicks are startin' to spin', 'hear the dual quads drink'......
Tach it up, tach it up, buddy gonna kick out 'Shut Down'.

In my opinion there are 2 pretty equal songs deserving to be voted out this round, Shut Down and Hawaii. I love both songs, but think the others in the remaining list are better. I voted for Hawaii to tie it up.

Reluctantly going after Hawaii to save my favorite car song one more round.

"Hawai'i" for the save. Beaches are cool, but cars rule!

On the current list - at least 5 tracks I like less than "Shut Down". Including "Surfin' U.SA.".

OK kind folks, Hawaii and Shut Down are neck and neck!!!
I'll give it another 30 minutes then close the vote.
Now far be it for me to cajole, manipulate and/or sow the seeds of doubt either way, but Hawaii better than Shut Down? That's totally kray!!!

As much as it pains me, I have closed the poll and Shut Down is SHUT DOWN! As much as it delights me, I have closed the poll and Hawaii been has SUNK, Atlantis stylee. That's right, it was a draw and we have to keep moving so they're both dusted! So, come back for the final eleven, up soon.

Got your hair pulling and heart wrenching tools at the ready? Time to polish and sharpen them up if not (I got mined prep'd on a rainy day last weekend).
You'll need them moving forward to boost your levels of fortitude in order to vote out tracks from the highly compelling top 11 of tracks pulled from the groups Pre-Pet Sounds years. Or die trying!
Sadly, I must offer-up Catch A Wave up for straw-clutching desecration - great tune and Brian in angelic voice, but Mike's head cold voice and the relatively light on track (bar the delicious harp trimmings) aren't on par with the rest of the track, despite the ambition and aspiration.

Oooh, this game can be brutal, and tensions are starting to fly and it's far from over. There's a lot of slaying of guts and beach boys blood yet to go. The laughs may soon be over.... 'won't be long til summer time is through though'......like 'All Summer Long'. Yep, I'm saying goodbye to the 'coke spillin', 'miniature golf', and well, the 'Honda's' have already been ditched. The vocals on this always seem a little off key, a bit rushed, but it's no big deal. It's alright, but not much of a composition.

Two votes for LHRW? I will do what it takes to defend it, hence my vote for Catch a Wave.

Thanks for that, A. Now I have a better idea of what I'll be looking for in future. "TWOTS" gets the goodbye look from me this time round. I still don't fully understand what I have against this song. My shrink is working on it as we speak.

Remarkable! I hadn't expected something straight out of Lord of the Rings or what have you!
For my vote, I've gone for DWB. I know, what a heathen, but it kinda plods compared to some, and it's a thinly disguised Spector homage, and I jut disliked that guy's hairstyle. Logic, y'see…

Yeah, I may be gunning for it next time - the vocal is too shrill and takes away from the pretty bloody amazing arrangement of the backing track.

Catch A Wave, the tribe has spoken, the tide is out and the wind has stopped - time for you to recede and move quietly under the glow of the Summer moon. OUT!!!
Next poll is imminent, don't fall asleep (again)!

Hello, hello! Welcome back to BB Survivor - Lifestyles, named in honour of the new partnership between Iconic Artists and the surviving members of America's (and other far flung locations) band, The Beach Boys.
We have done a sensational job whittling down a massive 61 tracks from the pre-Pet Sounds era to a solid ten, with a line-up that looks like the track list of a budget CD you'd buy in a petrol station.
I'm going All Summer Long - a song that doesn't click with me as much as the rest of it's originating album (gimmick songs aside) or this final 10, and not something I'd usually include in a BB top ten. It's okay, but a little bit dorky squaresville, maybe something that Frankie or Annette could have run with while leaving our tough wild Beach Boys to do their thing.
And since when is spilling coke all over one's blouse fun? That stuff costs $250 a gram or something.

I was almost swayed from my last pick, but gut instinct still has me at 'All Summer Long' to be moving on. 'Lock it in, Eddie'.
