I had to go with TWW. I know there’s a lot of love for AIWD but I’ve never gotten my head around that over-saturated, whirly mix. Yes, I know it’s what the creator intended but my head’s sufficiently whirly within without adding to it.
TWW, though, is a fabulous riot of shifting styles and gear crunching, chords being tossed in and out in a fully balanced randomised disunion of harmony. Genius.

Don't you have a beer cellar, Alan?

My cellar is a couple of shelves in the kitchen cupboard! In this country, beer can be too cold!

24 cans of beer per person per day makes for an ocean of pee! How on earth did peeple cope? And surely if “beer” needs to be kept in a fridge, it’s actually lager?

Well, you’d hang on to the empty can. And In the free colony of Australia, all beers are treated equally, around 3 degrees. Some speciality pubs may have a hand cranked ale keg on the bar or other curiousities, but it’s generally 1 process fits all (gassed/chilled taps or refrigerated bottles). If you want a slightly warmer beer, the onus is generally on you to let it sit to increase to desired temp, while watching your mates get their second round in. As mentioned above, a lot of AUS ale’s are tart fruity wanky nightmares; serving cold actually goes a long way to minimising the initial shock and enduring horror.

Is it POB, Dennis’s debut for Caribou or whatever the hell his label was called? Or is it something more obscure? Like surfers pajama party or something

Before we move on, maybe I should say something... Sunflower was born out of rejection, born out of growing for Dennis and Carl.
Guess you could say Al too, but he was still being held back. With the group opening up to every member, he should have gotten a
lead vocal on the album, not just a b-side. Integral to their sound, he would have to settle for writing credits this time around.
I don't have an absolute favorite. Voted for "This Whole World" in the final, but if it was between that and "Our Sweet Love", I would
have ticked the "Our Sweet Love" box. They're both the highlights on a record full of extraordinary tracks. That's how I feel about it,
nowadays. When I first heard the record, "Slip On Through" was my favorite, and would rank third, and as I said earlier, "All I Wanna
Do", fourth. After that, "Deirdre" or "Cool, Cool Water". This was a tough one to do for a Survivor. They have a few that I could say
would be equally tough to pick apart. We'll see. I don't think my decisions will be the same as when doing Survivor in the past. That
is the great thing about doing Survivor over and over -things change.

Only in Europe though Not really - Cotton Fields had charted in many territories bar the USA (traitors!!!) before Sunflower was released in US or UK format - it's UK inclusion was due to the single's success. And a bit of a duff move in my little book for not only fitting but for fake stereoing it, which was in stark contrast to the sonic mastery of Sunflower and about the dumbest thing you could do.

Sold a shit-load down here, Al’s finest moment perhaps? I really wanna hear the Matt Jardine count-in version before I die in 2074.

Although I was a huge Country-Rock fan (thanks mostly to The Byrds) by 1969, I like where Brian took the song more than Al's. I heard some version on the radio in Louisiana (I'm from the Northern part of the state). Just a song played by many artists in the South. For me, "Cotton Fields" is firmly part of 20/20, and nothing to do with SunflowerAl and his re-makes/re-models. Don't get me started...
