Ok, somebody help me out here. I just heard a cover of IN MY ROOM on my car radio, and I have no clue as to who it is. I don't know how new it is since it was on a station that plays unusual old and new tunes (it's a local station called KJIV...k-jive). It is primarily female vocals (or multi tracked vocal) and anything but acoustic. In other words, kind of upbeat, sounded like electronic synth instrumentation, almost danceable. I looked on YouTube, but couldn't find anything even close. Anyone familiar with this? It's pretty catchy! Finally tracked it down, thanks to a poster on the Today forum!

Pleasantly surprised by how many covers of this song are kicking around; artwork’s interesting too in this instance – guessing he’s a fan:

Not as engaging as the Popsicle Twins. The Harp Twins are serious musicians. They have an interesting success story, which you can read about on Wikipedia, for example.

I was being facetious, in the jocund style.

At a time when the BBC's future is somewhat in question, I'd pay my licence fee alone for more of this!

This young lady does a stunning version of Brian's early tune, 'Thank Him'. The people at 'Brian Wilson' thought so too, as 'he' left a comment. Thank Him - Gracia Rother.

Despite Cliff's trademark vocal tremelo and the 'pew pew' sound effect (typical for the period) this 1978 live version, recorded only about 6 months after POB came out, isn't bad at all - the backing vocals are great, courtesy of Tony Rivers and colleagues.

I'm just astonished he got wind of this in the first place I'm guessing that was Tony Rivers who put him onto it since Tony is a huge fan (and it was him whilst performing on stage at the 1988 Stomp Convention who announced there was a technical hitch as a ruse for the curtains to be closed in order to get Brian into place for their dramatic reopening).

Got to #5 in the UK charts so Dennis probably had a small royalty windfall.

This is lifted from down the road apiece:
Back in the late '80s, first half of the '90s, I was in this Dutch band that played mainly wedding receptions and office parties (when such things were tax deductible). We had to accompany numerous singers of varied quality, one of whom was Lee Towers. I recall the first and last gigs we backed him were the best.
Yesterday, during a meal with SMiLE-Holland following the presentation of The Beach Boys in Holland, he surprised me by revealing that LT had recorded the C+TP song "Cuddle Up"!

Just checking this thread out. Some great covers. Cliff's version should've been a hit! It works really well sped up and rockier. I could see it moving further in this direction with the Foo Fighters doing it!
