Somehow I missed this back in 2016, but She & Him have covered "Christmas Day," and they performed it on Jimmy Kimmel last night. Very nice arrangement, though I do miss the OTT organ in the instrumental break.

This is great Christmas BBs choice, cool guitar noodles by Ward guy & I really-really like Zooey's voice/singing/ vocal style/yada yada. Earcandy. Thanks to link it!

This one's been up on YooChoob since 2012, and nobody's noticed it until now?
The Fabs and their cover of Sail On Sailor. With a modicum of assistance from Brit comedian Stevie Riks. Ringo rocks.

Stumbled upon this on YouTube Abysmal. Beatboxing, bleh. What's with dancing beats whilst sitting? Can't she sit normally? & what's with face grimaces whilst singing, as if DWB is about crying? It's musically happy positive song. Voice nothing special too.

One of my father's favorite singers. A hip song choice for '67.
And who needs a theremin when you've got a saw?!

Not easy to attempt a decent version of a Pet Sounds song let alone one like this. I was a huge Ronstadt fan in the early 80’s....never knew about this till today.

So this is not a good cover, but this thread is called interesting covers, not necessarily good covers. So my dad is a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, so I grew up around his music. And I actually knew this version of the song long before I ever knew it was a Beach Boys tune. After I heard the BB Version, I felt absolutely no reason to return to this one, until today, when I went back and realized, it’s a lot worse than I remembered it.

In 2001, David Thomas (he of Pere Ubu fame) and Two Pale Boys released an album called, well, Surf's Up! This is the title track: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surf%27s_Up!_(album) Well, THAT's interesting!
