Since there was an NFL thread back on PSF, I thought I'd get one started here.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how week 17 and the playoffs play out. There's still a few spots up for grabs, and this year it feels like there isn't a clear Super Bowl favorite. These coming weeks should be really exciting.

The Philadelphia Eagles are still alive for the playoffs but need some help. The Eagles have to beat the Redskins AND then the Bears have to beat the Vikings. I hope Saint Nick Foles still has a little magic left!

For the second straight year, the Ravens close the season at home in a win and in situation.
Last year, they allowed a 55 yard TD on a 4th and 12 play in the last 30 seconds against the Bengals and lost out on the 6th seed.
This year, the Ravens can win the AFC North with a win over the Browns, who look like an up and coming team.

And unless something crazy happens, I think Lamar Jackson will be the starting QB. They'll likely cut Joe Flacco after the season as he's owed around $29M next season.

Yeah, I heard something about Harbaugh on a sports talk show and I wasn't sure if it was official or still being discussed/negotiated. There's going to be a lot of pressure on Lamar Jackson, much like Deshaun Watson in Houston, to do many things. I have to think there will be a few teams interested in Flacco.

No doubt Flacco wont have trouble finding a new gig. Yeah, the Ravens made it official just prior to the Chargers game. There's even talk of an extension in the works. Though, I might wait to see how this season unfolds. The one thing in the Ravens favor if this is the healthiest we've been on Week 17 in four years.

The TD pass he threw to Mark Andrews last week was a thing of beauty. I just hope the Ravens do a better job surrounding him with talent than they've done with Flacco over the last five years.

They made it a lot more interesting than it should've been (also thanks to some absolutely horrid officiating), but the Baltimore Ravens held on to win the AFC North!!

Today is Black Monday in the NFL where several head coaches lost their jobs. Including the two previous ones, we now have:
1. Hue Jackson - Cleveland 2. Mike McCarthy - Green bay 3. Dirk Koetter - Tampa Bay 4. Todd Bowles - New York Jets 5. Vance Joseph - Denver 6. Adam Gase - Miami 7. Marvin Lewis - Cincinnati 8. Steve Wilks - Arizona
That's 1/3 of the coaches! Did I miss anybody? Is there anybody else who you think should be fired?

I think Jason Garrett (Dallas) and John Harbaugh (Baltimore) were on the hot seat earlier this fall, but each of their teams won their divisions. I know a lot of people in Pittsburgh aren't too happy with Mike Tomlin, and I don't think he's going anywhere.

As a Packers fan, I was hoping the Ravens would get rid of Harbaugh so he could come to us, but that won't be happening anymore. There's no real candidate that really sticks out to me, but I'd be happy with someone like Adam Gase or Josh McDaniels.

If the Ravens did fire Harbaugh, Gase is a guy I'd look out. I'm not sold on McDaniels.

I heard on a sports talk show - but they're a dime a dozen - that Jason "The Clapper" Garrett might still be on the hot seat if he doesn't win a playoff game, but we've been hearing that for years.
McCarthy will probably have his pick of teams, but I can't see any of the other fired coaches being hired for next season. I think Pittsburgh has under-achieved again; Tomlin has really milked that Super Bowl win. Of course he can say that he played this year without his best player, Le'Veon bell.

Even without Bell, the Steelers had a pretty good run game, but their defense isn't what is used to be, and Roethlisberger's not getting any younger. Plus, they basically had the AFC North in the palm of their hands, but let it slip away. And that Super Bowl win is now ten years ago.

I still can’t believe Parkey missed that field goal, especially after making the one he kicked as time out was called.

But I thought there was a legitimate chance he would miss the field goal. I think Parkey missed 11 kicks all season. And how ironic that he (Parkey) was an Eagle!
You know, the Eagles' kicker, Jake Elliott didn't do them any favors with that short kickoff after the go ahead touchdown which allowed Cohen to return it.
Bring on the Saints!

No, neither did our cornerback. He bit on that 2nd down throw that set them up for the field goal. That secondary is gonna bite them in the ass, eventually.

Drew Brees and the Saints' receivers are going to challenge the Eagles' secondary much more than Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears' receivers. And Alvin Kamara is no slouch either. I'm kind of hoping that the Saints' week off works against them. You know, maybe they lose their edge or their spark that sometimes happens when you take a week off.

Cody Parkey is now officially a marked man in the city of Chicago. I've seen this kind of thing happen before there (Steve Bartman incident). I'm not exaggerating when I say that he needs to pack his belongings and get outside of Chicago city limits as quickly as humanly possible. His career as a Bear is over.
