The game was a snooze fest until the 4th Quarter. I would have never guessed that L.A. would be held to 3 pts. and they almost messed that up allowing that sack.

Yep, Dirk wins! I found just about everything about the evening boring. No, correction...Gladys Knight was great with the National Anthem. I wished she and some Pips would've performed at halftime... I agree about the Anthem. The commercials were once again a little underwhelming. I feel like the commercials have lost the luster of years past. I think part of the problem is that many of them leak online in the week leading up to the game, so there's no real surprises. We didn't watch the halftime show. Maroon 5 is about the music equivalent of paint drying, and adding two rappers to the mix didn't make it sound any better. I like defensive football, but that was just a sloppy game. Did you see the Burger King Andy Warhol commercial? That guy was a dead-ringer for Andy. But the question is, how many people - especially the younger target group who eats at Burger King - even knows who Andy Warhol is/was?

That was a little odd, and I'm not sure what demo they were going for there. But, I think he shows up in pop culture enough these days that younger people are at least aware of him.

I’m still shocked Anthony Barr is a Viking. We’d mostly written him off entirely long ago.

What an exciting day in the NFL. Really happy with my Packers, who for the first time in a long time splurged in free agency. Preston Smith, Adrian Amos, and Za'Darius Smith should all be quality additions to our defense.

He tends to disappear for games at a time.

We lost RB Latavius Murray to New Orleans. No surprise, as he was openly unhappy as a backup. But with Dalvin Cook always hurt, I do fear not having a solid backup like Murray around. Plus he’s a big bruiser, a great change of pace even when Cook was healthy.

DE Everson Griffen ($10.9m base salary this coming season) is reportedly in talks to remain with Minnesota. The feeling here had been that we'd waive him to save money. Last year he missed a lot of time with a mental health issue that led to some extremely bizarre public behavior. Stephen Weatherly played a lot, and played pretty well, in his absence. And Weatherly is not just 24 as opposed to Griffen's 31 years old, but is much cheaper.
