Well I never particularly expected to see Al with this kind of lineup, so when the chance presented itself, I had to do take it. Certainly a different experience. Modest venue. None of the hyped sound mix we have become accustomed to at a Mike or Brian show. Raw and simple production but super cool to be able to pick out exactly what Al and others were playing. Nice to have Bobby F and Ed C on stage. Folks that have pretty much seen it all. We listened to Bobby’s Surf’s Up podcast interview on the ride back to Toronto. Probyn remains a hero for his many years of outstanding musicianship and general kindness. Never seen Debbie before but she was very good and played with an infectious smile. Matt’s Surf’s Up was flawless. Al was introduced as the rock and roll hall of famer that he is. What more needs to be said. No Carnie and Wendy but not sure if there was ever a suggestion that they would be there. Musically it was a very good show especially once the band warmed up a bit. A thrill for the night was getting Al to notice my Rhonda t shirt at the end and him tell me how cool it was. I’d have liked to have complimented Matt on his Surf’s Up but a dozen or so people were hanging around the front of the stage so I let it be. As for Al’s possible revelation yes let us just wait and see, but it does seem apparent that he is at least getting together with Brian next month. California girls Do it again Catch a wave Hawaii Surfin safari Surfer Girl Don’t worry baby Little deuce coup 409 I get around In my room California saga INTERMISSION Postcard from California Surf’s up Sail on sailor God only knows Sloop John B Wouldn’t it be nice Good vibrations Help me Rhonda Barbara Ann Surfin USA Fun fun fun Thanks a lot for that. I wish Al would do And I Always Will from Postcard. It is a gorgeous song and one of the best he has ever written.

Yes as it seems we don't have a direct quote from Al, and a quote may or may not be in accord with what will happen and what he says might not really reflect what he means to say, I suppose we'll all just wait and see, and enjoy the ambiguity, and if the Beach Boys want to be on that beach one more time. boy that would be wonderful. Every artist should have the choice of determining their final image and as the cliche goes their swan song.

Sure hope we see more touring at scale by Al Jardine & Co.
I live in the Detroit area and he has never played my state as a headliner.
I've seen Brian solo, seen Mike's BBs. Would love to add Al to that list.
Seems like he only books dates by request through his website.

Sort of repeat performance. The theater in CT has had Brian and The Touring Band, so they seem to like all the members for purposes of booking. Maybe if locals know the theater managers, they could put something together?

Nothing on the books but I happen to be on the phone with the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano where I've seen Al each of the last two years, and I was buying tickets for the Pat Boone show, and I asked them why Al was not on the bill yet, and they said well the key word there is not yet so keep checking; so they were a little oblique about it but I think there's a chance at least that there will be a show at the Coach House this year.

Thank you Andrew and I just booked my ticket or I would have sent my gratitude earlier. Great memories of last year's show and speaking with Bobby Figueroa and Ed Carter and Al and Marianne ...
