Let's rock dudes, only a few more of these mushy love songs to go before we start merging the tribes.
I'm kicking off with Wendy again, but it seems to be a bit of a fan favourite - don't get me wrong, it's a great little song, but comparatively not as accomplished musically, hence my pliable vote.

Still nonplussed by the lack of love for "GOTB". I rank it as one of Brian and the Boys' crowning achievements. The verse following the bridge takes vocal harmonizing to another plane. (One's tempted to say "to another planet".)

Voted for FFF, I don't consider it a lovey dovey song.

You’re So Good To Me isn’t going to be anymore, as You’re has been asked to pack their bags and get the heck off BB Survivor!
Next poll up soon!

Okay - last round of exclusively love or romance songs, we'll start grinding some gears and catching breaks under the SoCal sun soon!
Again, I gotta give Wendy the push - hey, nifty little song with some nice platitudes but perhaps the least accomplished of the tribe, even though it's still an accomplishment!

Please help me Ron.
.......Duh. Again.
"I'm kicking off with Wendy again, but it seems to be a bit of a fan favourite - don't get me wrong, it's a great little song, but comparatively not as accomplished musically, hence my pliable vote."
That would be vote-rigging, then? I’m advised by my close friend Adam Bandt that this constitutes a federal offence in the State of Victoria and he takes a dim view of anyone besmirching the good name of the fair city of Melbourne. So he’s on to you.

This is Survivor, not the Westminster system of Government. Vote rigging, cajoling and general skullduggery is expected, encouraged and rewarded.

As promised, we're back 7 minutes later with the next round of BB Survivor, the lifestyle years!!!!
I'm backing away from Don't Back Down this round - I know a lot of folk find this a satisfying listen, but for me, the band's final foray into Surf songs in the vintage era has an oddly rushed feel and a slightly formulaic approach.

I'm sticking with "Noble Surfer", solely because of those slightly iffy vocal harmonies (see umpteen previous JK posts)...

Will's back. Breaking my silence after watchin' favorites goin' left-n- right, and not being able to stop it!
Will, "Noble Surfer - time to leave the beach. My beach, my rules!"
Don't be cruel, Will, he's noble. Will, "Don't care for the haircut." But, but, but... he's noble, doesn't that matter? Will, "those crews are so 50's it hurts. You, too - get out, get the hell off my beach."

Humble apologies, an enforced absence from the forum means that I’m not quite up to snuff with the Survivor rules. Or lack thereof. Westminster system of Government? LOL!! There’s a 24 hour BBC TV live feed from the chamber, and vote rigging, cajoling and skulduggery is a given, a mere hint of the dark arts that are practised there on a daily basis. I can’t think of a single MP who can even lie in bed straight.
Anyhoo, I'll run with the pack and go for Noble Surfer, particularly as Will's argument is strangely compelling.

Noble Surfer, the tribe has ebbed against you, no surfing today. I’m not shitting you!
Well played, Lords of the House - be back soon to commit yet more unavoidably regrettable decisions!

Heck now, time to get on with the next round after yesterday's no bull session with this big daddy.
I'm giving the smack down to Do You Remember - the only Brian thing that never sits well with me is his novelty songs about songs or music. He was certainly no Bruce Johnston in that department.
How about youz all?

To my mind,"TWOTS" has always had something claustrophobic about it. I just find it a bit of an uncomfortable listen. Anyway, that's my first choice for the chop.

I like “Do You Remember” enough to have recorded a version at home when I got my first 4 track tape recorder, complete with overdubbing my own voice four or five times. I hate to see that one voted off. I voted for “Surfer Girl.” It’s popular, but I’m tired of it since it’s sung in nearly every concert.

Well, if the criteria is California/Gulls/Summer Days/Nights then I reckon we have at least two gatecrashers at this party. The frantic breathless list of 50s rock and rollers that is Do You Remember has Dennis clubbin’ the skins for all he’s worth for just over a minute and a half. The other interloper is the more refined and introspective In My Room, and even I’m not bloody daft enough to boot that one out. Yet.

Yes and it's true what they say about greater success but I still find "TWOTS" a bit of an uncomfortable listen.
