The magnitude 6 earthquake that shook Melbourne about 15 hours ago was the strongest in history to hit Victoria and caused serious damage to buildings but thankfully no fatalities according to BBC News today. Let's hope that if the earth moved for Alan it was for different reasons and that he's OK.
Can I request you all keep hoping along those lines for me. If you all think long enough and hard enough and at the same time, it will become reality! I‘ll co-ordinate that; just need a start time, GMT natch, and we’ll all give it some welly for 3 minutes. That should be more than enough, especially as I’ve added an extra minute for you to get your breath back. In the meantime John, no need to be afraid as far as In My Room is concerned, we're on the same page. Actually we're not - I've just noticed I'm now on page 12  |

Okay, one last clutch of individual tribes before the big merge and the introduction of hidden immunity idols!!!
As much as I love it, I'm pushing The Girl From New York City to duck out. Although beautifully executed, played and sung, it's a very good BB song as opposed to the remaining songs, that are AMAZING.
Yes, we are down to straw clutching!

Yow, a challenging line-up awaits those about to undertake a gruelling decision in voting off your least favourite of the remaining Car/Auto related songs. I'm black flagging Our Car Club - I really love the tough swagger of the music, but unfortunately swagger is not reflected in the dorky lyrics ("we'll have a meeting, get some sponsors and collect some dues"  ) or in some of singing, particularly Brian threatening he's going to "really put you through the grind" while singing like a nun: bone chilling (not)! |

I’m confused. The poll keeps changing between different categories - surf songs, car songs, love songs - and the responses are all mixed together in this thread. That's because it isn't a poll - it's a party game vaguely using the format of the Survivor TV show, where different tribes compete within and against each other to remain in play until one tribe member is deemed the winner. Tribes can also be merged and exemptions can be given. (if you haven't seen the show, check out Wikipedia). Voters are encouraged to protect their favourite song, and this can be done by whatever tactics they wish to employ - such as Fall Breaks asking for people to change their votes, good job Fall Breaks. This means the "Survivor" may not be the best Beach Boys song within the tribe categories - I'm introducing immunity idols in the final week or two that allow anyone who finds them to return a previously shot song, or to protect a current song that may be in the firing line. The Girl From New York City may well rule the roost! It's all pretty clear on in the first post of the thread - endlessharmony.boards.net/thread/1430/survivor-drivin?page=1&scrollTo=38452By the time we finish, which thankfully will be soon, those who've stuck with it will have sifted through a massive 60 songs from most but not all albums of the Pre-Pet Sounds Capitol era. Albums that were not included were gazetted to be included in other themed versions of Survivor. Two more items, Survivor style game was employed after a long year or 2 of a discussion of every song everyday - we'd clocked all albums and songs in the catalogue at the time, so rather than starting from the top, this was to mix things up a bit. As noted above, we're dealing with about 60 songs, which is not something I have time to build and edit voting polls every 1 to 2 days due to the limits of the technology. |

Sensational news!!! There is a hidden immunity idol somewhere on this Forum. If you find the hidden immunity idol, PM me the details of where you think the idol is. The first person to correctly find the idol will receive the following power: The ability to execute one of the following actions: - return a previously voted out song to the game - remove a currently In Play song - remove an entire Tribe from play!!! For the uninitiated, an immunity idol looks like something you might give to your brother-in-law or similar from your first holiday to Vanuatu or similar Pacific Island nation or territory of the USA: ie a culturally appropriated souvenir. Here's a screen shot of what is still in play and what has been voted out so far to help you execute your delightful prize.  |
