The best I've heard isn't on that list, and is admittedly incomplete: "I've Got A Friend" (track only).

Of those: Out in the Country, Carry Me Home and Lookin' Down the Coast - not in that order. I'm going for Carry Me Home

Life is for the Living. One of the funniest things I have ever heard.
Al released Looking Down the Coast, so I'm not sure I would have included that one, and I have not heard what Andrew has heard.

Not quite sure how you can come up with just those titles, and leave so many others unlisted... so I'm gonna pass until we get a more definitive choice ! Apologies...

I voted for "Go And Get That Girl". With a bit more work(full background vocals and a better guitar solo) it could have been a hit. I've said this to a few people before and I'll say it again, if that song would have been recorded by Chicago with either Terry Kath or Peter Cetera singing, it would have been a huge hit.

I voted for Carry Me Home and Lines, but Mony Mony was a very close contender. I would love to hear that track in better fidelity and crank the volume. It truly cooks. Brian at his dorkiest, dirtiest "Brian's Back" best.

I've never understood the universal love for Carry Me Home. I mean, it's a pretty song, but to me it sounds very unfinished.

Some of the titles are on this.
New England Waltz sounds like it could be movie/film track music. Even a Dennis lead or two. Sinned

There were two glaring omissions from the “Made In California” set - “Big Sur” (4/4) and “Carry Me Home”. Maybe someday they’ll see the light of day if Mike doesn’t nix them again.
My very close third is “I’ve Got A Friend”. Pick the best quality live one from the three or four that are out there, clean it up as much as possible and release the thing. Right on the heels of those is Lazy Lizzie. I don’t care, call me a perve, and I know it’s a sparse track with an organ, a farting synth, and light percussion, but Brian and Dennis sing it and I’ve always liked it so tough titty said the kitty.
Very honorable mentions go to “It's Trying To Say” a.k.a. “Baseball”, “Michael Row The Boat Ashore”, and “On Broadway”.
I like the following covers of “Lazy Lizzie. These guys are boss: www.soundhound.com/?t=100848910317756235

All dressed up for school or the song Brian wrote after Murray’s death that about 5 people have heard if rumors are to be believed

And supposedly, there's not much going on with the track about "Patty Cake" the gorilla.

"Spark In The Dark" is... interesting. Several minutes of Brian noodling at the piano, starts out with the "Loop de Loop" pre-chorus riff and winds up with something that sounds awfully like the main "Chain Reaction Of Love" riff. Recorded late January 1972 and ab-so-lute-ly nothing to do with "Funky Pretty".

I don't think he 'mucked about with the pitch' on It's Over Now. It sounds like he just used the Made In California Stereo Remix.

Your observation does not change the fact that I prefer the lower key. I always prefer lower keys. I also think that 440Hz is too sharp. In fact, this discussion of keys is something I am interested in. If you want, I can do a quite interesting discussion on this subject.

The alternate version of I'm Goin Your Way kicks ass. Not booted though. I wish I could hear it, somehow...

I don’t see it on the list but a friend played me "Clangin'" and that certainly takes the cake. Truly one of Brian's best works :')
