Well I never. Right now, "Cherry, Cherry Coupe" is leading the pack!! Now sharing the lead with "Be Still", "Leaving This Town" and "Our Sweet Love" at four points apiece. Less than half an hour later, "Our Sweet Love" has assumed the #1 slot. I can't even believe the three titles I selected (Leavin', Let's, and Nearest) could ever be considered among the "Worst" in the BB catalogue. |

It's most encouraging to see "Cherry, Cherry Coupe" getting so many votes. It got my vote (and mfp's) but it's a song that could so easily slip under the radar. There's no hook to speak of, just an insidious doo wop-heavy groove. Wonderful stuff:

I don't understand all the dislike for 'Cherry Cherry Coupe'. Maybe if some of you understood the meaning of the car-related lyrics better, you'd like the song better? If you like the music/melody to 'Land Ahoy', that was 'Cherry Cherry Coupe's' inception. Was just looking at the votes on Reddit, and it received relatively high marks. "Cherry, Cherry Coupe" -- I'm quite fond of the LDC album
"How She Boogalooed It" -- it's a Wild Honey track, so of course
"Got to Know the Woman" -- catchy Denny song with a silly streak
"Spirit of America" -- wail it, Brian!
"Shortnin' Bread" -- my BBs guilty pleasure

"Shortnin' Bread" -- my BBs guilty pleasure I like "Cherry Cherry Coupe" better as "Land Ahoy". "Spirit of America" is a nice ballad that shouldn't be on anybody's worst list. Capitol thought enough of it to make it the title cut of a hit album 12 years later. |

I do really like a lot of the other tracks It was really hard choosing between the worst, wasn’t it. I changed my mind a couple of times. I could have easily picked at least six other songs. I really feel bad about leaving out Pet Sounds. I love that song. It has such a Henry Mancini vibe. Frankly, nothing on Pet Sounds is a worst in any universe. |

How could it be on this list?
The instrumentals from Pet Sounds? What is this
list you speak of? I picked both.
"Transcendental Meditation" - speaks for itself. An
album, like Pet Sounds, that has no weak tracks.
And another that has no weak tracks, Wild Honey.
