Do we know more of the situation regarding GIOMH and the recording process of such?

It’s brickwalled, pretty sure that’s what he meant

I think he means the mix lacks subtlety, and if so he's right.
I still prefer this album over Joe Thomas's trilogy of hellishness though!

Has anybody here picked up the 'Vinyl' version of 'At My Piano'? I've just received my 2nd copy of the album, which is also full of dust, it jumps in several songs and also has light scratches over it.... Talk about terrible pressings or a case of bad luck... I think I'm done trying. The guy at 'Decca' was great and sent me this one without me having to return my previous 'dodgy' scratched up copy, and I don't have the heart to complain again. Maybe I need to go modern, and just pick up the darn CD!

Just listened to mine for the first time on Saturday night. Played through perfectly and sounded really nice.

I have to admit that I was initially less-than-thrilled with the idea of this album … but I find that I really love it now. It’s a gentle and powerful reminder of the the beauty of these compositions. An unexpected treat.

Always remember, vinyl is superior to CD...
If you heard my vinyl TLOS and my CD TLOS, you'd change your mind. (Seriously, my TLOS is one of the WORST-sounding vinyl discs I've ever heard. My CD is fine.)

I also have TLOS in vinyl form and didn't really notice any problems with it. But then again I don't really visit it all that much. I think the only BW albums that to date have never entertained a vinyl release are IMAGINATION (save for the lead single appearing as a '45), the recent LPR soundtrack and the Disney album. Other than checking out a few tracks on YT Music, I haven't really paid much attention to the piano solo album. Just not really interested in it unfortunately.

I think you are correct on the BW studio albums that do not have a vinyl release. To my knowledge none of the live albums have been released on vinyl either. I am kind of surprised that the studio albums haven't been released on vinyl for a record store day release.
