"The prospect that this was engineered in a level 4 lab that the US government paid $3.7 million tax dollars for."
Exactly what do you mean by that ?
"When good citizens carry and are trained - they save lives."
Number of times a private citizen carrying a gun has saved lives in a mass shooting: zero.

The second link doesn't work for me... but havuing read the first, all I have to say is this: if you harbour even the slightest belief that this thing was expressly engineered by Chinese scientists, then I shall no longer engage you in any kind of interaction, because I refuse to give conspiracy theorists the time of day. because they are not only mistaken but also dangerous.

Andrew there is a great deal that has gone un-reported and under reported. It’s hardly a conspiracy theory. US Department of Justice- January 28, 2020. www.justice.gov/opa/pr/harvard-university-professor-and-two-chinese-nationals-charged-thee-separate-china-relatedAnd, there are many investigations ongoing. $3.7 mil US tax dollars means you get to go in and inspect. That has been refused. That arrest is on the justice department’s website. There was important cancer research stolen from Boston Cancer-Hospital centers and 21 vials which was caught at the airport in a scientific researcher’s luggage, in a sock, en route to China. www.newsweek.com/china-spy-scandal-that-entangled-Harvard-could-hit-yale-mit-next-1489806

And if you don’t believe that governments like China, Russia, U.S., Great Britain grow these viruses in labs then I have a bridge in the desert to sell you. My understanding is that there have been quite a few close calls at our Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone in the Wuhan lab got exposed and carried it into the population.

No longer matters how it started. It’s happening and it’s needs to be staunched to try to save lives.
These are strange days when people are armed to the teeth protesting their rights to grow carrots and defending their right to gather in large groups and infect each other, and to spread the infection to the rural communities in which they're lucky to own a second home.
Just seen that Trump is set to ban immigration (presume he’s going to build a wall around the airports?). I trust he’s going to match that by banning emigration too, until this is all over.

That is what happens when a government (Governor of Michigan) over steps their authority and infringes on people’s constitutional rights. How stupid to be able to walk in the same store to buy a light bulb, but are banned from buying a pack of seeds. Even the worst hit places, like NY and here in NJ did not impose what she did. And what do you mean it doesn’t matter how it started? You’re telling me that it doesn’t matter where a disease that shut down the whole world had its genesis? Any country or group interested in the effects of Bio-warfare are taking note how this is being handled.

Any country or group interested in the effects of Bio-warfare are taking note how this is being handled. Dirk - I agree with this. That governor set this country on fire with protests - and Whitmer - all she had to do was be "reasonable under the circumstances" - and it has driven people to inquire as to their constitutional rights. Judge Napolitano says that there is "no pandemic exception" to the Bill of Rights - which are the First Ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. You can still assemble for peaceful protest. Being stupid and not masked, 6 feet apart is another story. And I believe it is biowarfare, banned by the Geneva Convention of 1925. The greatest academic institutions and scientists are involved and have compromised their credentials. The naiveté is breathtaking. The WHO head who is the first non medical doctor - criminally concealed 3 cholera epidemics in Ethiopia. But he played the game to get ahead. Geopolitics. Not honest geo-medicine - like Dr. Didier Raoult and Dr. Vladimir Zelenko. If anything positive comes out of this horror - it will be the large lens held up to the entire big-med, big pharma and geo-political academic "industries" who, in the past have lied about opiates, masks, human-to-human transfer of this virus. And those who are supposed to be in charge of protecting human lives on every continent. We live in a world of checkbook science/academia and checkbook medicine. If I have learned nothing in life, and in law school, in my evidence classes, it is to question every single authority or expert's study and first, who funded it, second, who are the stakeholders in the outcome of the study. Even if someone gets a doctorate from the study. Every single incentive to slant a study or research grant. Dr. Fauci is head of the group who gives out the grant money. Trust the science? Ya, right after I find out who is getting paid off with vacations by the legal opiate peddlers... [That French doc, Didier Raoult, who teaches on infectious diseases, at Aix-Marseille University, had the study on malaria meds, that cost next to nothing. His work was replicated in NY. The two should get Nobel Prizes for their courage.] Big pharma wants their cut of the action so they take to the airwaves to disparage the inexpensive treatment, while docs are hoarding thousands of Paquenil tablets for themselves and their families. If it did not work - why would doctors be hoarding it? This New York doc replicated this treatment. That is a key test. Can you duplicate the treatment - independently of one another and achieve the same results? That is honest science. They did - and on separate continents. Independent of each other and presumably with no financial incentive - just to treat patients. nypost.com/2020/04/11/doctors-pols-urge-use-of-miracle-coronavirus-drug-cocktail/ They knew at Davos on January 20, 2020. The Taiwan bulletin was released on New Year's Eve. They knew during the US-China Trade Treaty signing; January 15, 2020 in the White House. I have read that Trump is an extreme germo-phobe. Whatever else anyone thinks of him - he would never let anyone near him - whom he thought had been exposed to something like this. No way. I believe he was lied to about the level of contagiousness. These are crimes against humanity and those responsible need to face all of those who have been injured as a result, including those who are complicit. This is not about the innocent Chinese People - it is the Chinese Communist Party elites - in the same way you can't blame German people for the Nazi political party. It is geo-politics, power and propaganda. www.cdc.gov.tw/En/Bulletin/Detail/PAD-lbwDHeN_bLa-viBOuw?typeid=158&fbclid=lwAR265rlq4FEwtfc7FTWgX4UvWe4AP8bAhGCbmxsH18zjyloTMSE5MoFMjU www.thegreatcoursesdaily.com/biological-warfare-the-geneva-protocol/ This Geneva Convention was 1925. dailycaller.com/2020/04/judge-andrew-napolitano-phil-murphy-bill-of-rights-constitution/ This is a great opportunity for people to do their own research on geo-politics, how it affects everything. I believe that all people are very smart, whether they have degrees or not, and can use this time productively, to find out who these players (and fakers) are and decide themselves whether those who are in charge have our best interests in mind.

It's been hard work posting at EH recently (as in super-sluggish) and I still haven’t worked out why. The Today! forum is also hosted by ProBoards and I've never had this problem there. Cyberspace can be such a strange place at times. Anyway… I've just had my second anti-COVID jab (my wife had hers on Monday). To celebrate (along with something sticky from the local patisserie), here are The Swingin' Medallions from 1966, the musical year of years, with the aptly titled "Double Shot (Of My Baby’s Love)": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Swingin%27_Medallions
