During Blondie's 1972/3 spell with the Beach Boys, did he and Brian ever share the stage together in concert?
Also, a thought just occured : just as Brian has been a solo artist longer than he was a Beach Boys, so Blondie has now spent longer with Brian than he spent with the Beach Boys.

If so, and I think they did at least once, it was fleeting, as in a song or two.

Might as well post this question here. Do we know by now why Blondie doesn't participate in more than a handfull songs per BW show?

Brian jumped on stage at the big Gus club in 1970 after a special flame showcase and jammed with them. And in April 1973 he got onstage with Danny Hutton at the end of the Los Angeles show but I don’t think he even sang that time-more of a walk on

So it might be that Brian and Blondie never played together on stage as Beach Boys?
(Seems weird to think of Brian jamming…)

Well when I say jamming-I mean that him and Carl, Dianne and Marilyn, ricci Martin, billy Hinsche and Tandyn almer all got up onstage and sang some songs. In photos of the event Brian looks like he is really enjoying himself

There was a December 1971 Long Beach gig where Brian played organ while JFR sang "Tree" where Blondie might have been onstage as well, but I can't prove it.

Don't know if Blondie was there or not. I believe Blondie said somewhere that after the demise of the Flame, he returned to South Africa "for a few months". He was there when he received a telegram from Jack asking him to join the Beach Boys in Holland for their appearance on "Gran Gala Du Disque", which was in February. Based on that, I'm thinking he was probably there rather than Long Beach in December '71, but "a few months" can mean just about any number of months more than one, so who knows.

He was not at the Long Beach show Long Beach Arena, December 3, 1971. "Probably the only performance ever of 'A Day In The Life Of A Tree'. The Boys coaxed Brian out from the side of the stage to play organ while Jack Rieley sang it. They were going to do 'Heroes and Villains', but had to shorten the set because the Long Beach Police were going to turn the power off at a certain time. At the end of the main set, following 'Surf's Up', Jack Rieley comes onstage and announces they have just enough time to do two more before the plug is pulled, so instead of leaving and coming back for an encore, they just stay on stage and do the last two. The high vocal part on the end of 'Fun Fun Fun' is performed exactly 25 times tonight (I counted 'em!). Brian may have joined in for that, but Rob isn't sure. Contrary to what is written in Keith Badman's book, 'Surfer Girl' is not performed tonight." Contributed by: "C-Man" and "Custom Machine".

And having been there I can confirm that Blondie did not perform with the BBs at their Dec 3, 1971 concert at the Long Beach Arena.

So, seems that prior to September 27th 2013, the only time Brian ever shared a stage with Blondie was at the July 1970 Flame showcase at Big Gus Club in LA. I've seen it given as the 28th - that right, Ian ?

Around there-but not sure exact date. Disc and music echo reviewed the event but I haven’t found any ads in the newspapers to specifically put a day with it
