neat, Cam. Thanks for posting. Don't believe I've seen it before. There is a listing at Eric A.'s Concert Pages (access through Bellagio 1968 shows & sessions) that has them playing "Bluebirds Over the Mountain" 26th November in Jersey City, N.J. the day before the mentioned Boston shows on the 27th at The Music Hall.
There was only a handful of State-side warm-up shows from the 23rd thru 27th to get them ready for the European tour. They filmed the Top of The Pops show on 30th November, for broadcast on the BBC on Christmas day.

I believe this interview was conducted in the UK with Mike Love on Friday, November 29, 1968. I’m thinking that either the interviewer wasn’t listening close enough to Mike's answers or Mike had wishful thinking or was thinking way ahead or both. Didn't they already have the Brother label at that point?
"Most of the Beach Boys’ discs start out in a studio in Carl’s house. He has all the instruments there – all the machines are there and everything. Actually, we have bought a record studio in Hollywood and we intend to record other groups as well. We are trying to buy a record label right now and we are going into it all very seriously".
Really? What recording studio did they buy. Didn't they record at Brian's house, I.D. Sound, Valentine, and Heider's in L.A. around that time?
Go Warriors!

Not sure what's up with Carl's home studio. New one on me, maybe a demo studio of some sort?
Could it be the stuff from Brian's home studio there for some reason? Don't remember the timing of studio.

I don't think there was much, if any, recording being done up at Carl's house on Coldwater Canyon, but I could be wrong. I think the author swapped the name 'Brian' with 'Carl'. It's been done before.

Wouldn't doubt it Mikie but some how sometimes the ridiculous turns out to be true and sometimes the "true" turns out to be ridiculous.
Or something like that. Where is that TV remote?

Details might be in the Gaines book.
