Indeed, the four of us have been at it for several years and will be at it for a good while to come. All is going well. This is great news but... dammit, none of us are getting any younger, y'know? I know, I know, better to do it right than to do it fast...

Important to note off the top, I don't have the book yet, but I did see on Reddit (not always the most reliable source) that some of Brian's quotes were lifted from his first biography, "Wouldn't It Be Nice: My Own Story." The section they pointed to was Brian talking about writing Til I Die.Can anyone confirm that Brian's first, since discredited, biography was used as a reference for quotes?
Someone else posted an excerpt from the 20/20 section when Brian took credit for producing I Can Hear Music and on the very next page Mike crediting the song as a Carl production.

Most of the Brian quotes I've seen are from his 2016 autobiography, a few from Wouldn't It Be Nice (such as the 'Til I Die except), or the 1990 twofer liner notes (the strange part on I Can Hear Music).

That's for sure. Remember Brad Elliott was supposedly working on a Beach Boys recording sessions book back in 2000 but never delivered after taking fan's advance money for it? So much information has been discovered since then, that he'd have to do an updated book now. Even his Surf's Up book is outdated now.

The album gatefold credits Carl as the producer.

Mike & Bruce were just in a brief interview on BBC London news promoting the the book. That is, they're in London.

So Brian played high piano and sang background vocals on the original Moon Dawg recording by the Gamblers! (Page 58). Never heard of that fact.

Sorry it was Bruce which is correct. I've read too fast.
