Nice use of now and then photos, but still enough inaccuracies to make me grind my teeth. For one thing, Mike doesn't own the rights to the BB name.

Of course we want accuracy in the articles that we read and not just Beach Boys related stuff. I think just keeping The Boys in the spotlight with any press is a good thing. This is a good article, but there always seems to be something in these things that we can nitpick.

But they can have the capability to make corrections there especially in real time. Of course we nit pick. 😂

So........are you expecting the media to funnel everything they write though Iconic and have it preafrooded and filtered before it gets published?

This is a good article, but there always seems to be something in these things that we can nitpick. OK, here's something to really nitpick: "In 1997, he even released The Wilsons, an album featuring daughters Carnie and Wendy, who would, of course, in 1989 go on to form their band Wilson Phillips..." No, Brian didn't release any such album: he guested on four tracks of his daughters project. Nor do Carnie & Wendy have the ability to travel back in time to form Wilson Phillips after recording with dad (yes, I know, it's sloppy writing rather than a flat-out inaccuracy, but still...). Were this an article on The Beatles I guarantee it'd be a damn sight more accurate. I agree with Mikie, it's basically a good article, just sloppily executed in certain details.

And this definitely won't be the last time. You can bet your left.... The average Joe off the street reading these things either don't know the difference or don't give a shit about the details and subtleties in the article. The author/editor obviously didn't do his/her homework, didn't proofread well enough, or has a deadline to meet and couldn't be bothered. Belatedly, the author might receive a correction via e-mail or text message from the reader (like us) who realizes the error but he'll probably say, "Sorry about that - it's too late - it's already been printed." I want accuracy as much as the next hard-core fan, and I also look for inaccuracies while reading (it's like a game), but sometimes it's out of our hands if a knowledgeable person or persons doesn't review the article first and screen it for inaccuracies.

Okay, here's one more nit pick. The article says Brian is a "father of five." He's a father of seven.

Father of two, adoptive father of five.
