Been seeing a lot of nice words said about the site recently, both here and on Facebook, and the cockles are duly warmed... but it's not really "my" site. Yes, I started it just over 22 years ago, yes I pay for the domain and hosting (despite what other may claim) and yes I keep it updated (kinda...), but without the help and good offices of literally dozens of people - fans, researchers, band members and the like - it'd be nothing like the resource it is. Maybe 5% of the original research is mine, basically I'm the curator. These splendid people are listed throughout the site (an inconvenient fact for those who have in the past stated that I've claimed their work as my own) thus (in purely alphabetical order):
David Beard, Scott Bennett, Panayiotis Bogdanos, Alan Boyd, Nelson Bragg, the late Chuck Britz, John Brode, Will Crerar, Michael deMartin, Stephen W. Desper, Lee Dempsey, Steve Eidem, Brad Elliott, Sharon Marie Esparza, Patricia Ferelli, Mike Grant, Anne-Marie Gregory, Probyn Gregory (no relation), the late Coach Bob Hanes, the late Billy Hinsche, Val Johnson-Howe, Jon Hunt, Bruce Johnston, Barbara Lang, Susan Lang (again, no relation), Jacquelyne Love, Melinda Love, Raymond J. McCarthy, Carrie Marks, David Marks, Steve Mayo, Cameron Mott, Graeme Norris, Peter Reum, the late John Frank Rieley III, Ed Roach, Ian Rusten, Daniel Rutherford, Darian Sahanaja, Peter Scougale, Lou Shenk, Carig Slowinski, Jon Stebbins, Gary Winfrey, Chris Woods, Gary Zenker and several others who prefer to remain unsung.
As regards the shows & sessions specifically, my undying thanks to Ian Rusten, Craig Slowinski, Jon Stebbins, Alan Boyd, Stephen McParland, Jim Murphy, Eric Anniversario, Will Crerar, John Brode and Brad Elliott. Thanks are also due to Mark A. Moore (for the Jan & Dean/BB connection), Dennis Diken, Ron Furmanek, Peter Reum, Lou Shenk (for Smile), Don Cunningham, the late Trish Campo, the varied BB/BW fanzines 1977 to date, websites and message boards (and the contributors thereunto), David & Carrie Marks, Bruce Johnston, Mike Love, Michael Osterkamp, Keith Badman (yes, really), Chris Woods, Tim Bonhomme, Scott Totten, Bob Flory, Steve Eidem, Domenic Priore, Margaret Dowdle-Head, James Allan, Mark Kennedy, Julio Pelayo, Dave Barson, Vern Morrison, Greg Renoff, Scott McCarl, Bert Gangl, Ashley Wood, Don Zirilli and others who prefer to remain nameless. A special word of thanks to to Pete "Mr. Poster" Howard of Poster Central.
A final, and eternally grateful, thank you to David Beard & Lee Dempsey of Endless Summer Quarterly, for hosting 10452 from 2009-2018 when my original home vanished literally overnight, and to esquarterly.com webmaster Phillip Yow for making it happen. Were it not for their kindness, it's highly unlikely you'd be reading this now. An extra round of thanks to David for designing the superb masthead for the landing page.
So yeah... aside from them, it's all my own work.
