The Endless Harmony Forum is observing our fifth anniversary today! On December 23, 2018, forum administrator Dirk (Dr. Beachboy) opened this website after the sudden closure of the Pet Sounds Forum. The transition from that message board to this one was seamless. Congratulations and thanks to Dirk for the hard work that he put into getting this forum going and for continuing to maintain it. It’s hard to believe that five years has passed already! We recently hit a milestone of over 1,000 registered members since our grand opening. The continued success of the board is a direct reflection of its members. We're very glad that you are all here to talk about The Beach Boys and other band-related topics. I'm proud to be a part of it! We are happy to have so many knowledgeable and friendly members in this community who share the same interest and want to discuss The Beach Boys. We want to thank everyone who has participated here over these past five years, and we welcome our newer members. From the first day we opened, we decided that we wanted to have a friendly and welcoming place to come and discuss The Beach Boys and their music. The goal is to create an environment where members feel comfortable expressing their opinions without experiencing abuse or personal attacks. We’ve succeeded due to the respect that you’ve shown to one another here, and we thank you for that. It’s been a lot of fun discussing the Feel Flows and Sail On Sailor boxed sets, the Copyright Extension releases, an expanded edition of Sounds Of Summer (including many new re-mixes), in addition to concert reviews and other related subject matter. We look forward to a documentary, more books, and more formal Beach Boys music releases that are on the horizon. A big thank you go to the authors and historians - Ian Rusten, Jim Murphy, Andrew Doe, Craig Slowinski, Will Crerar, Joshilyn Hoisington, John Brode, Bob Flory, and Lee Dempsey for their contributions here. Beach Boys recording engineer Stephen Desper has graciously allowed us to host his Study-Videos series here on the forum. Malcolm Searles displayed his artistic expertise in developing our forum banners the past few years. Successful Q&A’s with Mark Linett and Alan Boyd were hosted by ESQ’s editor David Beard in the forum. Thanks also to the 'Banned Of Brothers', a small group of guys that grew out of our last days at the Smiley Smile and Pet Sounds Forums, who have provided their support, inspiration, and friendship to this forum since the beginning. And of course thanks to Filledeplage, who has not only written some excellent concert reviews, but has acknowledged our member's birthdays on the board from the start. Here’s hoping that the next five years will continue to build on the successes of the first five years here at Endless Harmony! The Endless Harmony Forum staff - Dirk, Alan, and I would like to wish all of you Beach Boys fans a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! -Mike

Thank you Mikie, Al & Dirk for maintaining this place and ensuring it remains a beautiful harbour for fans of The Beach Boys, of all persuasions.
We’ve had so many “homes” over the last couple or three decades or so: some have faded, some have disappeared, some have collapsed, one became unwelcoming.
This is the board that’s felt most open, most diverse, most respectful, most welcoming and least oppressive (not oppressive at all in fact).
Many happy returns to all. Not to mention jingle 🔔s.

This place is awesome. As someone who has been mostly lurking and learning on all of these boards for over 25 years, while adding the occasional post, I'd say that this is the most cordial and welcoming spot. Mission accomplished.

Wow, our Fifth Anniversary, already! Time sure has moved along since we opened up on December 23, 2018. For many of us, there was no place to go after the Pet Sounds Forum closed. So, Mikie and myself did a quick overhaul of this board and created the Endless Harmony Forum. We strove to make this message board a more friendly and welcoming place to come and discuss The Beach Boys and their music. I think that we succeeded in our goal.
I want to thank Mikie for being here from the very beginning. He has been a good friend and an invaluable partner in keeping this place running smoothly. I also want to thank Alan Smith for being our Global Moderator for most of our five years. He knows the behind the scenes workings of our site and ProBoards. And both guys are especially good moderators and they know the importance of “less is more”. Thank you so very much! I couldn’t do this without you’se guys.
I also want to thank Andrew G Doe for his friendship and for sharing his vast knowledge of the Boys’ over the years. I would like to thank Ian, Jim, Craig, Will, John, Joshilyn and Bob for sharing their words, their pictures, their music and their time and for enlightening us about the history and music of the band.
To Steve Desper, thank you so much for sharing your videos and wealth of knowledge with everyone. We are all very happy that you have taken such an active role here.
Thank you to David Beard and Lee Dempsey of Endless Summer Quarterly. We love having you guys as part of our community. Your magazine is the best and a must have for every Beach Boys fan.
Lest I forget, a very big thank you’s to “filledeplage” for taking care of all of our birthday wishes for the past five years. To Malcolm Searles for the fabulous forum banners that he has created for us over the years. Also, a shout out to my Banned of Brothers who have offered friendship and support since our boot from the Smiley Smile Message Board.
Lastly, thank you to our 1,000 plus members. Without you, we would not exist, nor would we be the No. 1 Beach Boys message board on the Internet. Oh, and I think I need to thank the guys who have made this all possible; Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, David Marks, Blondie Chaplin, Ricky Fataar and the late Dennis and Carl Wilson. The Beach Boys!
Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Festivus and very Happy New Year!
Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays from Mikie, Alan and Dirk!

Those five years have been well-filled with thrills and very occasional spills (a bit like life, really). Thank you, mods, for keeping this ship afloat. On the subject of filled, it's heart-warming to see filledeplage getting some love, working there tirelessly, away from the spotlight.

This place is awesome and I am glad to be a member. I have in the past been asked to be more, but I like just being one of the people here posting. My main objective is to pass on the knowledge of this once in a century musical phenomenon know collectively as The Beach Boys. Any wisdom I have is derived by simply listening to and reading from others smarter than I. Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it.
But to be in a forum with all of you, and to have Desper, Boyd, Linett, AGD and others here posting as well. How freaking cool is that?

Happy 5th Birthday 🎂 EH - incontrovertible proof that "reasonable minds can differ and co-exist" without the need for censorship. So nice to wake up to this lovely message. It is always nice to be thanked. So proud that the membership is over 1000! Thanks to Dr. BB, Mikie, Alan, Mr. Desper, and all the authors such as Andrew, and pros who jump in with their profound knowledge and appreciation of this great music, (Joshilyn) through its ups-and-downs in terms of popularity on the various continents in its 6 decade+ history. And everyone else. As many times as I have seen this band, I still sit in that seat as an impatient 14 year old, for the 1st time, eager for them to take the stage, because on some essential level, it can take me back to that April, 1967 night. I guess that is the test. Did we get sick of the music? No. This uniquely harmonized music has moved our hearts and souls, so thanks to the band. And somehow that created a mutual bond amongst us and here we are after 5 years, so thanks to the EH members. Thanks again, to Dr. BB - our "doctor in the house!" 🏄♂️

Best posters + best mods = best board. It's a very simple formula, but it works. The numbers don't lie. We're here because we love this band and the music they make, not to score points or promulgate ancient feuds. Sterling research is still being done, and the history of the band and its past celebrated, as with Carl's recent birthday. We all contribute, and we have outstanding mods who do their job with quiet efficiency. I'm proud to be a member of this community. Here's to the next five years.

Congratulations and gratitude to each and every one of you and to The Fearless moderators and to the generous historians who come here to share.
Coming here is the central part of my day, 10 times a day. Sometimes I don't know what I'm looking for in terms of information or feeling or emotion, but I always find it.

Let me get in my thanks before more time passes me and us by. I still remember the shock and relief of the old board disappearing one morning and Endless Harmony Forum springing to life. The most friendly and welcoming board I have taken part in.
Love to all as we join together from around the world to celebrate our birth. It has been a joy.
And Merry Christmas!
