This can be music of any genre, providing it fits the season in question. The only rule is that the name of the season be included in the title. It was an orchestral piece by the eminent Irish-English composer Elizabeth Maconchy (1907–1994) that gave me the idea. Public recognition came to Ms Maconchy in 1930, in part through a BBC Proms performance on 30 August of her cantata The Land, conducted by Henry Wood, who had stood at the cradle of this famous annual series of concerts. The work was inspired by the long poem of the same name by Vita Sackville-West. From the symphonic suite taken from the cantata, this is the brooding third movement, "Summer", marked Lento moderato. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Maconchy

As for Beach Boys summer songs, this beauty from the Surfer Girl album will do for starters:

This is the original of "Hot Fun In The Summertime" by Sly and the Family Stone, a US #2 in 1969, and most probably the only SatFS track to include violins:

I moved to NL in the summer of 1974. I remember The Isley Brothers' superior cover of "Summer Breeze" was big in the UK at the time, maybe because the original by Seals and Crofts had made no impression there two years earlier: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_Breeze_(song)

Back in my comfort zone, here's the very summery title track from All Summer Long:
Although there's a brief dark cloud at 0:26 and 1:11, when the minor chord on "long" seems to be saying enjoy summer while it's there because it won't last forever...

The keeper of the British psyche, a wordsmith par excellence. And the backing harmonies aren't too shabby either:

It's that month again. I recall quickly learning and playing "November Rain" on keyboard at my son's wedding -- it's a big favourite of his. I was joined by my brother on electric guitar who had flown in that day and had to learn it even quicker! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_Rain

This is me. My jazz guitar with friends playing “Autumn Leaves,” set to pictures I took all over Washington State in Autumn.

Back in late 1994, I recall discussing work over the phone with a Dutch artist and hearing this playing in the background at her end. Upon expressing my love of this piece, her reply was "It's that time of year again." As it is now. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verkl%C3%A4rte_Nacht
