Hi all,
I would like to have a song of the week thread of non-beach boys songs. This way we can learn what others like. The song of the week is Be Good To Yourself by Journey. It is an upbeat song and excellent advice. It is a song one can dance to. I hope that everyone has had a good weekend.

Nice one, Mary - you should check out the various threads by our jolly chum jk who loves to share his varied good taste in non-BB tunes.
Here's a vid to accompany Mary's suggestion, play loud, young and old!

My favorite Journey songs are "Lights" and Wheel In The Sky". Hell, I like the whole "Infinity" album. "Escape" wasn't a bad album either. The first album kicks butt!

(They were kind words, weren't they? ) And a great idea for this sparsely populated corner of the forum, usawoman. This is not my musical area (although I do recall liking the Boston album with "More Than A Feeling" on it) but "BGTY" is certainly upbeat and optimistic -- and optimism is something we sorely need these days... Regrettably, to quote Nat Hentoff, "I don't dance no steps of any era." I hope you had a good weekend too, Mary.
