I'll begin: - Thanks to the professor and sockit for liking my *first* reply in the The Beach Boys Are Better Than The Beatles thread. Appreciate the acknowledgment. Thanks to everybody who liked my replies generally. Again, appreciate it. - Thanks to Alan Boyd with Mark Linett for keeping up with us, updating the Beach Boys status by adding hype, making the band relevant via copyright sessions and many other things. - Thanks to fans for discussing the band in many places, so that many additional new fans get to know The Beach Boys. Your turn, folks.

To clarify - here you may wish to thank anybody, it's not limited to the board but can be people in real life - family, friends - films/ books/ painting/ music etc. that inspired you to do what you like, broadened your mindset, made you feel better. Thank away! If you insist. Thank you to The Beach Boys for getting me to join a succession of websites that have given me two truly fantastic friends I would never, ever have met otherwise.

An unlikely friendship is one of the greatest and most miraculous gifts this life has to offer: congratulations jk. I thank the Beach Boys too for providing the soundtrack to many adventures and moments of joy with my own dearest friend, as well as those who put many hours of work no doubt into creating this forum for all of us. I was so sad when Pet Sounds Forum bit the dust, and I’m so grateful to our new moderators. Long live Endless Harmony!

I am so incredibly thankful, believe me, that something as ostensibly cold and clinical as the internet can do this. I never came to the BB forums or anywhere else online looking for friendship--I even went out of my way to avoid it. And then pow--not once, but twice!! Thank you for the congrats, @littlesurfer, and good to see the Boys have done their bit for you too. Indeed, long live EH!

Thanks to the work of the medical professionals who apparently performed successful open heart surgery on Lindsay Buckingham. The word is that he sustained damage to his vocal cords. (My guess is he had a tube down his throat; I know my dad did when he had heart surgery, and his tenor voice suffered.) But he's alive and apparently on the road to recovery, which is great.

Thank you for that link - didn't know about that. Wonder if the recent brouhaha contributed to his cardiac issues? Hope his vocal cords recover. Thank you again for that link.
