I received my copy of the Winter 2022 issue today. My mailman delivered it to me in pristine condition, which I'm very happy about, as this might be the handsomest cover you've ever published.
I was moved by the touching sentiments and memories from Billy's friends and family. It is obvious he was a much loved and admired man.
I am grateful I got to see him in person a few times in recent years as part of Brian's live show. You've done a great job honoring him with this beautiful memorial issue.

This issue is such a loving tribute to Billy, but I would expect no less. I've often said that, judging from how so many people knew and loved him, Carl Wilson never met a stranger. That applies even more to Billy Hinsche, who befriended just about everyone he met -- from fellow musicians to big Hollywood names, sports figures, and his own fans. Live from Billy's Place was such a blessing during the pandemic.

I won't pretend to have either "known" Billy or been a friend, but via Stomp and Beach Boys Britain I got to spend a fair degree of time with him and had some one-to-one moments, and one thing shone out over all - while Billy was a superb musician and storyteller, he was just so damn funny, and such great fun to be with. Yes, even his awful jokes and puns (and some of them were truly awful): that was Billy. He is sorely missed.
