I know it may seem anachronistic these digital days, but there's something deeply satisfying about having a 'zine - and in this case, an excellent one - to hold, read and re-read. If you're not already a subscriber, you really should consider becoming one. ESQ has been a staple of Beach Boys fandom for 35 years, and you don't last that long by accident.

I've been a bit late to catch on, but is this ESQ edition the one that pairs up with the forthcoming box set, or is that a later issue that it's the works?
If this is the one, does it include writing credits and anecdotes etc. on tracks like Spark in the Dark, and other unreleased tracks on CD 5 of SOS '72,
Thanks in advance. Really appreciate it.

It pairs well with the box set, but doe not go into the unreleased recordings that are included in the upcoming set.

Finally landed here in this corner of Yorkshire. Already enjoying the read – many thanks, Team ESQ! And I’m honoured to once again see my name listed among those being thanked… humbling, and I wish I knew what I’d done to deserve such a thing. I’d do it again if I could, whatever it might be
