She & Dennis recorded together in Honolulu in November 1980 (per Bellagio). Has any specific info ever come out about those sessions?

The Beach Boys must be extra special to you because of your relationship with Dennis Wilson. Definitely. I related to them, and obviously to Dennis really well, although Dennis was a bit of a madman. But we got on really well. I just really loved their music. Carl Wilson in particular — loved his voice.
What did you learn from your time with Dennis? Not really very much. I mean, he was an interesting guy, but he was a bit barking mad, honestly.
On Dennis’s behalf, I’d feel kinda dismissed.

She was never going to say anything interesting about her time with Dennis, and I respect her for keeping the lid on that for over 40 years. She must have tales to tell that would make your hair stand on end.

But she did say something interesting. She said Dennis was a bit barking mad and didn’t learn much from him. Sorry ‘bout that, Dennis-fans.
’tis a strange thing; when someone is quoted, it transpires perhaps they’ve not been forthcoming (in a good way, natch), but when they’re not quoted, a quoteable source is required!

Saying Dennis was "a bit barking mad" is akin to saying Pearl Harbour was slightly unpleasant. Dennis burned down her pool house !!

It must be painful for her to remember those times. She's actually being diplomatic about an ex when she probably would rather not go there in an interview. I'm sure as well it's even more difficult as he's no longer here.
Their romance reminds me of A Star Is Born (Kristofferson and Streisand version!).

Sounds like there's a lot of 'forgiveness' too. Different time, different era perhaps... To admit after the fact she still listens to 'The Beach Boys', kind of says there's no real hard feelings there. She's in a easy position to 'tarnish' Dennis, but she was very 'professional' in her response.

I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, and absolutely adore Christine. A few years back, she did a Desert Islands Disc show for BBC radio, and included "Angel Come Home" on her list. Classy lady, classy singer/songwriter/keyboardist.

Maybe not - she states she didn’t learn much from Dennis, hardly diplomatic. She also answers later - Do you see your own story as dark and depressing? No, not at all. It’d very easy to lean that way if you wanted to, but I never got depressed by it.She was also married prior to and subsequent to her engagement and had a long amazing career spanning 5 decades (60 yearsish, with a couple of stints of retirement) in a relatively dynamically changing band. Dennis was involved for 2-3 years 40 years ago, so that gives her a good 57 years of other topics to discuss.

Unfortunately I don't know any more about the session details than you do, but I can tell you that there were a couple of bootleg releases that came out in the nineties called Denny Remembered Volumes 1 & 2 that contained a brief segment of Dennis and Christine jamming, if you want to call it that. The track is mostly just some moody piano chords from Dennis with Christine singing a high "ooh" over them while somebody intermittently bangs on a bongo drum. It sounds a bit similar to "Love Surrounds Me", but with a different chord progression. I tried to pin down the exact disc and track number for you, but the internet is being less than forthcoming with a proper track listing for volume two of the series. But if you can track down copies of those discs, it's on there somewhere.

Thanks Mikie, those are indeed the ones. Very nice compilations for their time.
Based on the track listings, I *think* Disc 2 track 13 is the Dennis/Christine thing, but I don't have my copies on hand to check. Maybe somebody else here knows for sure.
