Posted 8 years ago and only 800+ views.. Shocking. Dennis singing Angel Come Home. YouTube could be tampering with that “views” thing. I put nothing past big tech. It seems ridiculous even if was only the real geeks clicking and listening. 800 views makes zero sense to me. This one says 178,748 views. Dennis Wilson ( Beach Boys ) - Angel Come Home live 1979 178,748 views

Wow that is a great tune and a great performance. Is Brian there? For ANGEL COME HOME live on the "Midnight Special"? Yes, Brian was there, but he sat out about half of the songs, including this one.

What's most interesting here is the way Brian goes out of his way to make a specific reference and statement of gratitude and acknowledgement toward Mike for writing the lyrics to many of the songs mentioned. quote author=" Vale" source="/post/39099/thread" timestamp="1622730339"]Never ever saw this one

DJ L33 is no more from the looks of it. Several copyright claims by Brother Records Inc got his account nuked from the platform.
He does have an account here, so I'm wondering if he could provide more information. What videos in particular got him deleted. All I Want To Do lists a claim as well as all his uploads from the 1985 album.

All I Want To Do lists a claim as well as all his uploads from the 1985 album. A few of us have been dumped recently, including 'Ibraam' and mine under 'outlawrickenbacker', who have all suffered
the fatal blow from 'Brother Records'. Hopefully DJLee saved his work, because he did put a lot of work into his videos. 'Ibraam' seems keen enough to try again...
The thing is if you don't get your channel back, you lose everything you had on it. I had some Aussie Beach Boys/Brian clips that took a lot of time to upload and some of my
own things too, completely shut down. Nearly a decade's worth of stuff....
I'm hesitant to really upload anything anymore, considering everything I uploaded and the time I put into it.

I can see their point: now IAG are calling the shots they want to keep everything official, not to mention the notion that anyone thinking they can "improve" on the released tracks was always going to be a red rag of the highest order (especially as the vast majority weren't any kind of improvement), and in all honesty it can't have come as a surprise to anyone because copyrights were being infringed left, right, centre up and down. It'd be nice if IAG/BRI can see their way to collaborating with these enthusiastic fans in spreading the word in the (very near) future. We'll see.

Interesting to see official statements from him now blaming a "small group of actors" for this. Unless these actors happen to include Mark Linett, Alan Boyd, or other people who work for BRI I think he may be a little bit off the mark.

I'm just saying that he's implying there's something greater to this than just copyright infringement.

I'm just saying that he's implying there's something greater to this than just copyright infringement. Of course: it's never anyone's fault when they flagrantly breach copyright like that, daily, for months, so there has to be another reason, like someone with a grudge. Given I posted that his "remaster" of "Cuddle Up" was both disrespectful and not very good, I'm probably on that list.

To clarify, I don't have either the clout or connections to get his YT site pulled, nor would I want to (better things to do with my time). I'm fascinated with this article he's writing about "a disturbing negative small group of actors who I wont name directly, who are likely behind this attempt... The minute I ask for the negativity to stop.....this? coincidence? I think not. Will explain." I very much want to see it, and the "explanation". Fun times.

It’s probably not the smartest thing to do, messing with the same tunes that are coming out on a big ole box set. I’m sure the antennae are up at Brother Records and at Iconic looking for stuff like this. Blaming others is not cool when a look in the mirror might find the actual culprit.

That was awesome, and 100% in the zone of 1971. People say they could not draw a crowd? That is rare footage indeed. Historic and authentic time-wise, right down to the set list, written on their palms. And leading right up to the release of Surf’s Up, a few months later, right in their wheelhouse. This is exactly a visual of what the Student Demonstration Time crowd looks like. It was tailored for them. That is the picture (video) that speaks a thousand words that should explain why it was played right off the LP in college towns. You can’t explain it - you have to show it. Thank you for the video.

Also on the bill were The Tayles (nope, me neither), Charlie Mingus, Linda Ronstadt and Phil Ochs.

They went absolutely crazy for the classics - so electrifying. What a great find! My thanks, again to Andrew, for sharing it!

I badly want an official live release of "Okie From Muskogee" if any powerful people are out there listening. I promise I'll stream it enough at $0.0084 per listen to make it worth their while.
