There's no point in comparing Beach Boys compilation albums to each other. They're all basically the same. Who cares if one compilation that contains "I Get Around", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "California Girls" are compared to other compilations that also contain "I Get Around", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "California Girls?"
So what do you do with an album of all new material, Still Cruisin,' except that they included only seven new songs, then put "I Get Around", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "California Girls" on the end? Well, the album was supposed to be songs from movies, but three of the seven new songs didn't appear in a movie anyway. And so what if the last three songs did? There were other movie songs they could have chosen, that never appeared on an album. Maybe they couldn't get the rights to them. Well, I don't care about rights, I'm going to replace "I Get Around", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "California Girls," with other contemporaneously recorded songs, and add two more so we have 12 songs to compare.
From the Sunkist Album 25 Years of Good Vibrations, released limitedly in 1986 we have "Rock and Roll to the Rescue," "California Dreaming," and "Runaway." The first two of those also appeared as the new songs on the Made in U.S.A. compilation album, also in 1986. Add to those two more: "Problem Child," and "Happy Endings" with Little Richard.
