Since The Beach Boys has 12 tracks (including the bonus track "Male Ego"), and Keeping the Summer Alive has only 10 tracks, I added two outtakes from the Keeping the Summer Alive sessions that were subsequently released on the Made in California box set, "Goin' to the Beach" and "Da Doo Ron Ron."
For me, even though The Beach Boys is listenable, when the songs are stacked up against the previous LP, Keeping the Summer Alive wins in every single case except the two bonus songs "Da Doo Ron Ron" VS "Male Ego."
