The Beatles ended their LP with a long, drawn out piano Chord that blasts in before slowly losing life. The Beach Boys took a different approach, choosing to end off with a quick but poignant group “poof!” Choose one! Or don’t. Just had this conversation with a friend and wanted some other opinions

May "Poof!" rule. I've always found the final protracted chord of "ADITL" thoroughly depressing for some reason.

I know this isn't the point, but something I noticed...
"Mama Says" is credited to Brian and Mike.
"Vegetables," including the versions that have the "Sleep a lot..." section, are all credited to Brian and VDP.
Which tells me that Brian wrote the "Sleep a lot..." part of Vegetables.
There is one and only lyric that is in "Mama Says" but not "Sleep a lot..."
Ergo, Mike got credit for the word "poof."
