Welcome to Endless Harmony. I have chosen to open this forum in light of Rob’s decision to close the Pet Sounds Forum. I want to thank Rob and everyone who took a turn at running PSF. We all tried very hard to provide a great environment in which to share our fandom with each other. We will do our best to carry on the friendly atmosphere that makes it fun to post your thoughts and to tell your stories of the band.
Again, welcome and enjoy your stay.
Dirk

I want to thank Rob for absolutely nothing at all. Despicable act of betrayal.
All props to Dirk for stepping in. Let rock and roll !

I want to thank Rob for absolutely nothing at all. Despicable act of betrayal. I know it's a real drag that the board we've posted a lot got deleted all of a sudden, and I have absolutely no right to determine what you say, but may I ask you to drop it and move on? The problems were not just what had happened in reaction to the Rocky Pamplin thread and it was just about coming in from everywhere. I can easily see why he wanted to get away from the situation, taking the entire forum with him. Honestly, if I were in the same position as him, I might have done the same thing, with extreme exhaustion and annoyance. It may not be the best measure one can ever take to this particular situation. However, we need to move on, and I hate to see him blamed like this, to be honest. Sorry to be blunt here, but that's my two cents.

Sorry to be blunt here, but that's my two cents. It could be archived someplace or in a home or cloud server. They say that stuff that is on the internet is never really destroyed. Rob did do a lot of work. Mostly it is thankless. I appreciate that - and he helped create a haven a couple of years back. I will always be grateful for that shelter. Lines got too blurred as between the boards, I think. People were used and taken advantage of. Going forward, it should serve as a cautionary tale. And, for maybe now I don't think there can or should be much more than "small talk" until this is all sorted out. Too much was shared in an air of "collegiality" which came back to bite the board. Loose lips still sink ships. It was not about Rocky. It just happened in that thread. (And now, some have learned the hard way about what it is like to be accused and closed out of a forum to defend yourself.) It is like union negotiations - one side is behind one side and the other side is behind the other side. It is how I see it. And, things happen for a reason. From where I sit - I think the ship is being "righted." This is a survivors' forum. Even if it is square one, some stuff will be re-constructed. And judging from the scores who got the word last night, and joined - it is a Christmas gift to yak endlessly about this body of work we love so dearly. Thank you Dr. BB for pulling together such an amazing Christmas gift.

Pet Sounds Forum was great. I hope this forum picks up where PSF left off as a great place to discuss the music of The Beach Boys.

The name “Endless Harmony” is quite fitting; a slight rewrite of an old song.
