Starting to return to my music during this COVID crisis. As it seems that this is not going away here anytime soon (here in Texas, ICU beds are over 100% full with people screaming about their freedoms), I am looking for escape so I thought well, the Beach Boys is as good of diversion as any. Its just hard to get my heart into this music without the real world intruding.
I noticed to my amazement that there are Beach Boys videos being loaded up onto youtube being listed as being from the Bob Hanes collection. I find this a little insulting, though I am hoping that the person doing it is a true blue fan. It just smacks a little bit like click bait. Has anyone else seen these? Just search youtube for Beach Boys Bob Hanes.
Good to be back.

The gentleman posting these videos seems like an old friend of Bob Hanes. He stated the following on facebook.
Dan Tackett is at The National Mall-Washington DC. July 1 at 7:10 PM · Washington D.C. · The Beach Boys ·
So, I have been dubbing a collection of rare and otherwise very fascinating videos for any Beach Boys/Brian Wilson fan. The collection is that of Bob Hanes who has passed away and had mounds of Beach Boys and Brian Wilson related material that he left behind and I have the fortunate task of digitizing a good number of VHS Tapes and putting them up on YouTube not only for preservation sake but for fans of The Beach Boys, fans who look back on these memories and remember better times in America and for the Boys! This one had the Boys live at Central Park, Brian and Carney Wilson on Entertainment Tonight along with Rob Wasserman who brought Brian and Carney together to sing for the first time in decades. It also has A&E Live concert/documentaries from both The Beach Boys and Chicago which was partial as I am trying to squeeze as much material on one DVD as possible! So, thank you VERY LITTLE YouTube you just screwed the world out of seeing this material again for possibly for the first time. I’m not doing this for profit or personal gain, all I wanna do is preserve history for the World to see.
Having said all of that, if you have ever posted to YouTube you know that YT (YouTube’s name from here on..) gives you three jpeg images that it had randomly grabbed during the uploading of the file. YT does allow you to upload your own image for this purpose but, I’ve never use my own image, I always use one of the three images they provide trying to pick the image that best describes it’s contents. Well although the video has been blocked worldwide due to “copy-written material”.
Since I can’t share that video with you, I will share the three pictures that YT gave me the option of selecting. Look closely at Al Jardine he’s sticking his tongue out at us! 😉

I was just thinking....how bad is it that all of the money I would spend on Beach Boys collectables now gets spent on face masks and hand sanitizer?

Check out some of this stuff. I had heard that Bob had some of that stuff but didn’t realize how deep some of this stuff was.
