To the Mods: I was reading this forum today when an obvious phishing full-page ad popped up on my iPad (using Safari) that blocked me from continuing to the forum. I had to close Safari and delete the cookies. It came back again the second time I tried to access the site with Safari. I repeated the process, then switched to another browser that has ad-blocking enabled, which kept the pop-up away. I imagine this is a problem with boards.net, but thought you folks ought to know.
My iPad is running the latest version of everything.

My iPad is running the latest version of everything. MDH, I've always accessed this site with a PC and Windows with Google Chrome. I've never had an issue with phishing or pop-up ads on this site. I think the Pet Sounds Forum was also a 'Boards.net' site and I never had a pop-up/phishing problem there either. Good that you deleted all your cookies and I'd clear the iPad history and cache too.
I'll jump on my iPad (with Safari) tonight and access this site to see if there's any issues.
Edit: I went on a Surfin' Safari last night with the iPad and accessed this site without resistance from pop-up ads. Everything worked normally. I think the issue may be on your end, MDH.

Strange. I’m on an iPad using safari and haven’t had any issues either. I also use an app called Weblock that you might find useful, but even with it disabled I can bring up and log into this page without issue.

I am very upset by the "fat guy's cankles with deep vein thrombosis"(??) pics that tend to show up as so-called targeted ads for me. I hate that shit. "DOCTORS WARN TOP 5 SIGNS YOU MIGHT DIE RIGHT NOW!!!" shows *picture of big disgusting fat guy'sfeet with those sockmarks from his bloodclot
i wish the can we talk guy could have a talk with these fuckin retarded advertisements.

I don’t use Safari much, but use an iPad to access everything on this site with nary an issue. I do use Chrome, though.

I'm switching to iCab on the pad for this site, so far so good. (Although I posted this using Firefox on a laptop.)

Been having the same probs as Emdeeh described in the initial post. Also using Safari, on an iPhone. Deleted all cookies a couple of times but the problem persisted. Then went away by itself –!soni assume it will recur later.
