So this video surfaced:
Al being served in Florida just after landing in Florida, with Matt threatening to call security. Al just kind of laughs it off and walks away. From the article the video accompanied, it looks like he, David Marks, and Mike Love were supposed to do a show in Tampa in August but there was something about a dispute about the payment or something and Al backed out and ergo is being sued for breach of contract, to the tune of about $100k plus legal fees.

What is happening here? Dave and Mike and Al without Bruce and Brian were going to do a show together? And Al backed out and then he gets served in an airport? This is really shocking. Want to know more about it.

I saw that.... I didn't post it myself, I couldn't find anything to support any of it online.... It looks 'staged' to create drama, business is not done this way.

Rick I agree with you but who staged it for what dramatic reasons and what is the reality behind this? And who is trying to conduct what sort of business in this regard?

Business is done behind closed doors and when things fail, they go to court. Who the hell goes to an airport, makes a scene, and does this while making sure somebody is filming? It just smells of attention seeking and Al being used as a 'bait trap'. You can't take this seriously the way it's handled. Reminds me of that old saying, 'Nothing to see here folks'.

I remain shocked by the whole idea of Mike and Al and Dave performing together. Where would Bruce be in that configuration and of course our beloved Brian is not touring or performing these days, but nonetheless who would have thought that there was a show scheduled with Michael and Dave and Alan.

On the other hand, serving docs in public (and on video) is a popular activity in the US. It's one of those things, like bail bondsmen for example, about the US legal system that looks absolutely fucking bizarre to anyone from anywhere else.

Want to know more about it. I'm guessing whatever alleged performance was planned, Bruce would have probably been involved. But since he isn’t an original member that might be why he wasn't listed. I guess. 🤷🏼♂️

Rick I agree with you but who staged it for what dramatic reasons and what is the reality behind this? And who is trying to conduct what sort of business in this regard? It could have been video'd to prove successful service-of-process, to the court. The point is to put the person on notice that there is a court matter that concerns them. But releasing it, publicly, only to cause a media scene, and negative publicity to all parties involved, to only cause embarrassment is another story. (Someone already wrote some anti-Mike article.) Highly unprofessional as to the process server business. They usually send a copy by mail and/or email. It is a business dispute and most of that stuff is kept among the parties. It looks like a simple breach-of-contract matter, that should be handled quietly. If it came from the process server's end, I think they should have to answer to their licensing authority, and be reprimanded, because it cheapens the process. There is such a thing as discretion.

My guess.
The guy who tipped The radar didn't have his info straight. I can imagine the phone call "Al promised me to join Mike Love and that other guy, I cant remember his name, but the guy who isn't quite a real member."
So the lineup proposed was Al to join M&B.

Mike and David attended, seperately and Alan was never ever mentioned in the promotional material.

So if it was this Chiller Theater Convention who is running the show, isn't the publicity on them or their promoters? Couldn't they remedy it by having an insert page and on their online accounts, such as facebook, etc., announce the omission, with profound apologies and his inclusion on the insert? Lots of theaters have a separate page printed up to correct errors in advertising with an "oops."
