The BW/GC collaboration has dropped on Spotify. Bear in mind Brian was recorded October 2022. Also on Apple Music (assume iTunes also), at least in the UK. Nice tips of the hat to Guess I’m Dumb throughout. Darian Sahanaja, Paul van Martens and Probyn Gregory among the credits. Darian is the only person credited with backing vocals, so am guessing they’re a Wall of Darians. Brian is listed as producer, but no credit given for arrangement which I assume is Darian and/or Paul. Listened a few times now and it’s growing on me more with every play. There’s more Glen than Brian, and Glen’s vocal is (of course) the stronger of the two but Brian’s contribution is fine and great to have. People are gonna ask whether it’s auto tuned cos people are people, but, honestly, I haven’t a scooby.

Yeah Glen sounds pretty damn good. I'll give Brian a pass due to his health condition but he at least got through the song.

Other difficulties aside, I think the range he was given to sing in wasn't that suitable to the way his voice was at the time

Wow, I love how it serves as a sequel to Guess I'm Dumb!!
This is perhaps the most 60's sounding production of Brian's solo career! It really has that 60's sound!!!
Cool to see that 'the gang' was involved... Darian (Keys, Percussion, Backgrounds, Percussion), Paul (Sax, Keys), Probyn (Trumpet, Horns, Guitar), Jim (Drums), and Derrick Anderson [Jim's partner] (Bass)
Brian sounds vocally the way he's sounded for the better part of a decade. His vocal performance was about exactly what I expected.
I do quite like this!!! I particularly love how much it borrows from Guess I'm Dumb.
Cool to hear these guys on one last song together. Glen contributed so much to The Beach Boys' music, let alone playing with the group for those handful of months! It's only right that they'd have one more collaboration.
Brian and Darian did a very nice job with the production. I think it sounds more authentically 'Brian' than a good chunk of his solo material.
It's kind of interesting to think about the fact that Brian's most recent (and possibly final?) projects are contributions to two Country albums. Of course, in the case of 'Strong', Brian and Darian took it in a more Spectorian/60's Pop direction, but the Country 'vibes' are still felt through Glen's singing. It's just fascinating to me that Brian, the Surf Rock/Wall Of Sound pioneer, has been contributing to Country music as of late! Pretty neat!

Are there two threads about the same song?

Is Brian listed as the sole producer, or with Darian?
