I’m not sure why you regret getting the book if you wanted Bruce’s autograph?

Good Luck.

'83 or '84, Mike and Bruce were at Macy's in S.F. promoting the 'Beach Boys' line of clothes and I brought along my Surf's Up book for them to sign. Mike kept staring at the two good looking ladies ahead of me in line as they approached the signing table. Finally, Mike introduced himself to them. "Hi, my name is Mr. Loooooove."

My advice is to pay for any VIP event they offer to maximize the probability. I noticed another woman had Bruce’s autograph, and it turns out he was in the next room! Pay attention to your surroundings, be direct and respectful with your requests, and more likely than not you will get lucky. Bruce snuck up on me the first time I met him, and I only turned around for a second after watching him walk to the back. Good luck!
