Hello,
I am a long-time fan (late Gen X), but I have not previously participated in fan communities due to being something of a hermit in my twenties and thirties. I've been lurking a bit here for a while.
I am a confirmed (albeit dilettantish) member of the 'literary arts' school of music appreciation, and my characteristic way of responding to the music of The Beach Boys leans toward (very) amateur cultural history studies, rather than the nuts-and-bolts of music theory – the discussion of which I tend to leave to those who have musical training.
Thanks for adding me to the board. I hope to have something interesting to say.

Most of the serious intellect on this board is based in the U.K., though some folk in the former colonies chip in as best they’re able from time to time! 😉 Overall, everyone here has a ball. Hope your time here is fun.
