Here's what I think "Keepin' The Summer Alive" should have been. In my hypothetical version, all tracks would have been mixed/mastered differently. They would all have been mixed to sound much more like the songs sounded in concert. I've always felt that the overall sound of this album is one of it's biggest downfalls.
Side 1:
1. Under The Moonlight
2. Keepin' The Summer Alive
3. Goin' On(with keyboard solo like how it was done live)
4. It's A Beautiful day
5. Some of Your Love(with keyboard/synth intro)
Side 2 1. Oh Darlin'(Brian lead version)
2. Goin To The Beach
3. Constant Companion(with the backwards echo effect on vocal heard on the bootleg mix)
4. Sunshine
5. Santa Ana Winds
6. Livin' With A Heartache
7. Why?
8. California Feeling

I made an album featuring all the outtakes on Sunshine Tomorrow (not including The Studio Sessions). The only rule was that they couldn’t be released by The Beach Boys pre-1967 in some form or the other. The tracklist goes:
Hawthorne Blvd. (1967)
1. Lonely Days 2. Cool, Cool Water 3. Time to Get Alone 4. Can’t Wait Too Long 5. Redwood (Hide Go Seek/Honey Get Home/Untitled (Redwood)) 6. The Letter 7. Their Hearts Were Full of Spring 8. Game of Love 9. Hawthorne Blvd. 10. Graduation Day 11. Surf’s Up

Try this one. I did this back in 1999.

I'm nearly 100% certain that these covers were done a few years ago for a fanmix, yes? Anyway, whoever did them deserves some kudos...excellent work echoing ALL SUMMER LONG. Does anybody know if there were ever any preliminary designs or suggestions for the ACTUAL cover for the proposed album? Dunno if things ever got that far along before the project was "scrapped", but figured somebody here might be able to provide an answer.

I was just bored one day back in 2017 and was listening to SUNSHINE TOMORROW and got the idea.

The second image is, of course, the most transparent of fakes.

Funny, I was just enjoying that alt-L.A. artwork back in the 2019 Alternate Beach Boys' Albums thread. It's quite lovely, glad you shared it.

What a mistake not to release some of those tracks. Maybe half live and half studio tracks. They needed something to keep the momentum going especially when the music world was moving at lightening speed in 1967.

One for the road: another messy mash-up... The version of You and I is the David Marks cover.

This one's a real cheat... but fun. Couple of these taken from YouTube - Mona Kana/Well You Know I Knew and the long mix of Been Way Too Long
