I heard this on a French radio station in the mid '60s and was knocked out:

One today because it'll take you a while to process it: Yes indeed. Gladys Knight (who first took "Grapevine" to #1 in the US) is clearly having a ball ("**** it, let's party!") but Marvin sounds terrified. That floor tom presages disaster, which regrettably came in the end. If we're doing duets, gotta link my absolute favourite of his with Tammi. "Your Precious Love" has one of the most gorgeous bridges in history:

I remember being bombarded with the Jr. Walker version back in the day but this is so much better!

Marvin's album with Miss Ross didn't work for me. They recorded the damn thing in separate studios. Makes for no connection.

Marvin played drums on several Motown hits including this one by fellow drummer "Little" Stevie Wonder, who can be heard here on bongos duty:

A sequel to Let's Get It On that musically prefigures Sexual Healing somewhat...

Hard to know for sure what else Marvin drummed on but this US #1 for The Marvelettes (Motown's first #1?) gets regular mentions in that regard:
