I heard from an unconfirmed, marital source that they're going to be at one of the City Winery places in Chicago (I'm guessing the one in the West Loop). Date and time? dunno.

According to their website, it's March 31st, at 1200 W. Randolph St.. The 2nd Nashville show is an error (which I got from Alan's own website !).

Just a short note for those who are intrested to say that it was a really fantastic show is today that Alan and his son put on joined by a fantastic woman on keyboards and vocals. Maybe other attendees will remember her name. A special shout out to the two scholar gentlemen whom I met there, 1st rate fans who helped to make it a banner evening all around with their great fellowship and knowledge.
The show was absolutely captivating. Allen sometimes is a little chaotic on stage and stopping to remember the key or the chords and sometimes verses disappear and harmonies get sung while leads are Left Behind. Most of this is fun and innocent enough and part of the whole dynamic on stage. On surf's up I was looking forward to his singing that great part that begins with the line a children's song ,but that verse was just sung wordless. These are all just small observations, and the over all personality and expression of the music and als amazing amazingly beautiful voice really dominated the evening.
Alan talked in his banter about Brian and about Dave and about Mike and about Carl and I don't think he mentioned Bruce or Denis ,but it was clear that he was there as and ambassador of The Beach Boys and of the history that we all love and share.
No news or information or announcement or reference to any beach boy future. Just a great evening of Al celebrating his 58 years of being a beach boy.

Great meeting and conversing with you as well, professor. Spud told Eric that they only had one day of rehearsal prior to the show, and it was, as you say, a fantastic show.
The woman on keyboards and background vocals was Debbie Shair. She played and sang for many years with Heart, and was part of the Wild Honey Orchestra, which with special guests (including Al & Matt Jardine and David Marks) performed Beach Boys tunes 1967-1977 for a benefit concert four years ago. Debbie's vocals really blended well with Matt and Al.
I thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back feeling of the show, especially in a rather small and intimate venue like the Belly Up. While they did have a set list, the show came across as three people rather spontaneously jamming with Al frequently giving historical background info during his song introductions.
As of this writing the Belly Up was the first of only five scheduled Al Jardine Endless Summer shows. Very highly recommended if one is anywhere nearby.

Let me just echo what custom machine has so eloquently said. I had a long 2 hour drive home and I must say that I felt an expansive sense in both heart and soul that I had sat there in the front row and listened to Al perform these songs with such deep conviction and such reverence and as a witness to an incredible history of music and song and the paradisal mythology of California. The unrehearsed elements only added to the charm and in fact made the crowd cheer even louder for this legendary hero. If they get things more polished and precise I'm sure I will enjoy it in that mode as well but I wouldn't have wished a single word or moment or note to have been played differently for the entirety of the show.

The professor does not to Facebook so if there are any further dates that anyone knows about here I hope we will continue to post them. I would love to go see Al again if his tour brings him back to his home turf

Sunflower you are in for a treat. And this is perhaps the last thing I will say on the subject, but the professor was famous for believing that nothing in the world could bring him happiness except a reunion on stage of all 5 surviving beach boys. The professor was wrong. And perhaps it was the effect of sitting in the front row and really being connected to the show, but I enjoyed this performance much more than the 2 times I saw Brian, one of which was with Al, and the 1 time that I saw Mike and Bruce. I'm sure it was the proximity of being in the front row and being asked to sing along and to be physically part of the experience , but there was some degree of authenticity and simple poignancy in Al's show that was very different from the polish of the scholarly beach boy orchestra that backs up Brian and also of the particular kind of polish that Mike and Bruce put on their shows. I am sorry if I'm not expressing this so well but perhaps custom machine can help me out here. I got a ticket for the Chicago show. I'm so excited!

Awesome review, you put it very well. I'm even more excited now. I did get second row, so it'll be nice to be close to the stage. I've only seen Al once with Brian & I was 4th row. Thank you for your input! Will have to post a review as well. Sunflower you are in for a treat. At the belly up tavern it was 1st come 1st serve, and if anyone has never been there I certainly recommend that place to go in Solana Beach in San Diego. If you have dinner there in the wonderful restaurant you get to lineup even before the people who are outside on the street lining up and that is why I was able to get a front row seat.
Al during his show many times referred to what he called the hardcore fans ,and he would say things like "of course the hardcore fans know what the B side of surfin' is" et cetera, and he very much appreciated looks and nods of recognition and the occasionals shouting out of Trivia, and I think he very much values the fact that there is a certain group of people who live their lives in dedication to The Beach Boys.
At the end of the show when they were taking a bow, I was able to make a direct statement to him and all that I could say is "we love you al, and we love The Beach Boys" which seemed pretty comprehensive and efficient single statement to make at that one moment of audience opportunity. I'm completely sure that he recognizes this sort of devotion and values it in a meaningful way, and he very kindly made sure that his son handed me the set list or one of the set list that was on stage, in recognition of that sort of commitment and devotion.
I personally have never had this kind of interactive experience where, without too many words being spoken, I was able to express my feeling and be recognized by a beach boy for the kind of commitment that we have and the kind of kind affection we have for all they've accomplished.
There is no way I could ever have hoped for more than that in a concert experience.
Custom machine got his vinyl album signed and I'm sure feels quite much as I do in this point.
Again it was a night and an experience that everyone there just did not want to end, and it certainly transcended words or description, or the basic parameters of a concert review.

Cool that on Al's Facebook page they have linked to a video of Al singing Little Pad (briefly) before performing Catch a Wave.
Al has really pushed himself a lot over the past several years.

Not surprising with all the cancelations and all the concern. I hope all The Beach Boys themselves and their families and crew and musicians all stay safe and all the fans stay safe and we all weather this storm together until it's over

Professor and other non-Facebookers, Al’s Facebook videos are public so anyone can watch without needing a FB account. Just ignore the annoying messages telling you to log in and click on the video. m.facebook.com/pg/aljardine/videos/
