Given the recent resurgence of COVID here in the US, I don't expect any of the July dates to remain. August is looking more and more dubious too.
Atlanta is only reopening for small audiences, no medium or large shows happening around here for quite a while. I'm not feeling optimistic that the comedy concert I have tix for that was rebooked for November will take place.

Here's the current Minnesota rulings on outdoor events and entertainment:
"6 feet of social distance, gatherings must not exceed 250 people"
The capacity for the Vetter Stone Ampitheater is 10,000...

You'd think the venue would say something by now.

What are they going to do -- limit the attendance to the first 250 people in line? And maybe show a remote projection performance of Mike & co.? I'm not sure any of those guys want to take the risk with cases still rising.

A couple of M&B updates today... * * * * * July 29 -- Saint Charles, MO -- The Family Arena, with America This show has been rescheduled to July 30, 2021. Source: familyarena.com/event/the-beach-boys-with-america/* * * * * Aug. 2 -- Lincoln, NE -- Pinewood Bowl Theater This one actually scares me -- the show is going on, without America. Face masks required to attend. Wonder if the band will be wearing face shields. Source: www.facebook.com/PinewoodBowlTheater/

Source: www.facebook.com/PinewoodBowlTheater/This is indeed of no small concern. The safety protocols sound pretty comprehensive but that was my concern: what about the band singing toward the audience. Maybe the band will wear some sort of face shields with drapes or the venue have some sort of a sophisticated stage air recovery and filtration. Hard to imagine and even if, is it worth it? I have a feeling this is destined to be cancelled.

I guess instead of wringing my hands I should have done a little research, it is an open air venue apparently.
Their precautions (ASM Global Venue Shield) seem about as best you could do in the circumstance but still, is it worth the risk? I don't think so but nobody asked me.
It looks like an August 5 date for Chicago is still open as well.

The singers are spaced out - the audience as well. Non household members spread out. Spouses and kids should be able to be together. They live together anyway. This is just common sense - in short supply these days. Indoors with ventilations systems only bringing in about 20% outside fresh air is another whole story. Venues with windows that open as opposed to HVAC sealed systems. Lots to consider.

This from the website of the Crystal Grand Music Theatre where the band are scheduled to play August 14th [comments in italics mine]: "We want to stand with our fans and artists to make the best decisions for everyone. As this situation continues to change, our policies and precautions may change as well. For now, please refer to the following to understand what steps we are taking to keep all safe as we begin to move forward with live music. The following precautions are being observed for the safety of our customers, artists and staff: Capacity has been limited to less than 50% [1000 down from 2000] with a thoroughly updated seating chart putting space between parties
Markers have been placed on the floor throughout the venue to display 6 feet social distancing standards
Points of contact are being monitored and sanitized by attendants
Touchless contact will be practiced at box office, concessions and the bar
The venue will be thoroughly cleaned before and after shows
Hand sanitizing stations will be set up throughout the venue
Staff is required to wear a mask as well as have their temperature checked upon arrival (Concessions, bartenders and box office attendants will be required to wear gloves.
It is mandatory that Patrons wear masks [ this could be interesting...]. *By entering the venue or purchasing a ticket you are acting on your own free will and acknowledging that you are aware of any risks. The venue will not be held liable for your decision to purchase said ticket and/or enter the venue Thank you!!" About the only thing they missed out was "on no account enjoy yourself" ! Does that sound like a gig you'd want to pay $60.95 to $155 to attend ? Nope, me neither.

That show with Alabama has already been rescheduled from last year, when one of the guys in Alabama had a health issue serious enough to postpone the tour for a year.
