After months of soul-searching, I've resigned myself to the fact that this poll is destined to be flawed but what the heck. I've stopped at Holland, as quite frankly I'm not familiar enough with post-Love You tracks to single out solos, and adding "Kokomo" would look a lot like playing to the gallery...

Here Today would possibly get my vote

What? No Student Demonstration Time, jk?
Big mistake, buddy!
Not that I would have voted for it, ha ha, mine goes to the blistering Surfin’ USA double headed rock hammer!

And where the Hell's 'Wendy' and 'Here Today' and 'Little Girl I Once Knew'? Oh, wait....
Shouldn't 'Good Vibrations' be in this poll somewhere? I'd most definitely vote for that one.

I'll leave this poll open, flaws and all, until there's only one song leading the pack. Of course, that may take years...

H'mm -- I think I'll leave it in place for the time being and see where the ship runs aground, as the Dutch expression goes...

I went with Feel Flows as my top pick, along with the heady Steamboat not far behind. I do miss seeing Hold On Dear Brother, though.

Some are deliberate (too many from the same album) and others are... not. You've just voted "Feel Flows" into first place, the first single leader since the poll's inception.

Like Tina Turner once said, what’s albums got to do with it, got to do with it. Just a listing of the best breaks. Oh, wait, Tina said love, not albums, my mistake.😉

The creek might well be a funnel of fogiveness but I still have a sneaking suspicion that Mr Fulton is installing a couple of torpedo tubes to sink FF before John K draws a line under this.

The creek might well be a funnel of forgiveness but I still have a sneaking suspicion that Mr Fulton is installing a couple of torpedo tubes to sink FF before John K draws a line under this. Mr Fulton... h'mm. I see "Steamboat" has drawn level (again?) with "Feel Flows". I'm very chuffed to see this poll has taken off, glaring omissions and all. I may just leave it up now and let it close itself down at the end of the year. It's not doing any damage where it is, at least I hope not.

I only just now found out who this Mr Fulton fella is. I'm considering setting up a new poll of all the stuff people say I've missed. Anything to keep that "biggest douche bag" thing off the front page.

Ha -- "Feel Flows" is back in the lead. I see "Lana" is the only track without a vote right now. I tried to assemble the selection so as to present a wide variety of solos, including that for guitar, celeste and (interestingly and previously unbeknownst to me) accordion in unison during "Lana" ( Source). A few more votes for the other extended workout (Ricky's Moog on "Leaving This Town") would be nice.

I like to get my money's worth so 3 of my picks were the last 3 listed. Ha, not just that, they're each majestic in their own way. I like the guitar and celeste so Lana finally gets a nod and the flutes (On Wisconsin) and guitar (edit: and saxophones!) gets BTTYS (45) a vote.

Here Today would possibly get my vote Agreed 100%. That song has one of the band's most adventurous instrumental breaks they ever did.

Here's my working list for a new poll featuring breaks that went missing last time for whatever reason. Please feel free to post favourites that never made it this time either and I'll gladly add them. Now's your chance -- there won't be a part three:
Noble Surfer Why Do Fools Fall In Love? I Do I Get Around Wendy Salt Lake City The Little Girl I Once Knew Here Today Caroline, No (tag) Good Vibrations (tag) Wild Honey Transcendental Meditation Student Demonstration Time (intro) Hold On Dear Brother
