Why is there not an over/under contest in the works to reward the loyal readers who've been following this epic "purchase foreplay event" so that whoever makes the closest guess as to the actual date that John finally bites the bullet might win a pot of shillings (or maybe "Kokomo bucks" gift certificates!) from this very slow-motion suspense thriller? I know we aren't supposed to actually gamble on here, but maybe the powers-that-be can figure out a workaround that turns this into a sporting event? Will John buy the set before or after the next US presidential election? Or before Elon Musk's SpaceX actually gets off the ground? Since this thread is primarily about money, what say we find a way to make somebody some money off of it, even as John tries to save as much as he can??!  |
